Mazda CX7 Window Motor Gear Replacement
CX-7 Window Motor Gear Replacement
@DanDoesDIY
Save money and learn how to repair your own grinding window motor gear. The biggest savings here is not having to take it to a dealership and deal with that. This repair is applicable to all 4 doors. The passenger door has a different handle than the driver's side that is held on by two 10mm bolts. Other than that, its very straight forward. It may take you longer to watch this video than it will for you to do the repair yourself.
I hope this video is helpful to you!

    Hey Buddy, thanks for the vid! You killed it! Great job for a first timer. Your video was just what I needed. My belt cost $79.29 with the Cdn HST included. I got it from Fern's Golf Carts, a local shop. Now I gotta get out there and get my hands dirty...

    Just as a reminder: at least for my TB mower the drive belt is 754-0467, BUT stay with the Troy Bilt brand. Why? Because some of the "generic" brands will not work well. The last one I tried was an improper fit can caused WAY TOO much resistance and work for the drive shaft.

    Wrench will not get the pulley/hydro bolt off, keeps spinning

    • @asysz
      @asysz 3 місяці тому

      Do you mean the pulley over the rear axle? You may not actually need to remove it. Start the belt around the pulley and then turn it with the wrench. It should be able to make it all the way around.

    Someone help, I cannot get the front pulley loosened so that I can lower it and put the new belt on. I use device grips but those don't grip tight enough for how tight this thing is on there, how did he use an impact wrench, why didn't the pulley turn???

    Hello, this is a very educational video. I just bought a Troy Built Bronco. 20 hp courage, 42" cut. Garage kept. Very nice mower. But it seems like it is going faster in reverse than in forward drive. I was thinking of starting with the drive belt. Would really appreciate any insight on this issue.

    May I suggest you buy some vinyl eavestrough and make a removable cover to preserve your hard work and awning. It works great for protection from the sun and weather when not in use or stored for the winter! NOTE: The eavestrough is not meant to be left on when traveling. It goes on in seconds! It snaps into the track just above the top of the awning and rolls around the awning, directing the rain down and away from the awning. The awning is completely hidden from the sun.😊 🇨🇦

      As long as you don't lean it past like 90* of its normal orientation, you should be fine. Also leaning it rearward is typically fine. It's usually only an issue if you lean it too far towards the carburetor side of the engine.

    Thank you Dan for the video, (my wife won't help me push the tractor, LOL). I have a question, maybe you can help me, Coincidentally, I recently changed the drive belt and I don't know if that will be the cause of my problem, I have a Troy bilt pony (2011), now I can only control the speed with the throttle lever, even when I put it in rabbit mode the motor goes at high rpm, but the ground speed is about half the normal speed; the (yellow on mine) speed control lever doesn’t work, it goes up and down without locking the notches, offers no resistance and does nothing. (however, the engaging of the parking brake action works fine). I opened up the mower and saw the yellow speed control lever attached to a connecting rod which is attached down there to the cupped metal piece in the correct position as the new Troy Bilt Pony I saw yesterday at Home Depot, but besides allowing to be put in in park position, I don’t see it attached to anything else, is it right? How does it regulate the speed if it is not connected to anything else? Thank you in advance.
