I opened my FlameThrower and compared it to that radio you are working on and it ABSOLUTELY NOT A Flamethrower . IT'S A FAKE.! There's a lot of them out there. You might want to tell your viewers instead of badmouthing a fantastic radio which that it NOT!. MORE FAKE NEWS...LOL

Why would they send you a Galaxy FlameThrower when it has a 2 year unconditional factory warranty? That CB you are showing is obviously a counterfeit. FYI: Galaxy Flamethrowers are the most sought after CB radios money can buy and they do not need or have swing kits in them.

I have a Cobra Chrome 29. It has terrible static interference. Even with my car turned off, and the antenna disconnected. Is there supposed to be static interference with the S/RF, SWR, CAL switch in the CAL position? My antenna SWRs at 1 on the gauge and the antenna light isn’t coming on. But the static noise is always there even in Calibrate mode. Even with the mike keyed.

If you need a 1khz tone you can download phone apps that will produce a tone if you are testing tx on ssb on an open transmission that the counter can pickup. Just find an empty frequency.

I just bought a used 959 cb guy said it was Tuesday Ed and peaked last a few days and died fuse not blown

hi David im in uk and have got a cobra 29. i connected it to a car battery and it just blows the cable fuse, i cant see any burning on the board or diodes showing gone could you give me an idea what could cause this the rig was in loft for years thanks phil

A couple of things I don't like about this model Galaxy is they are AM and FM only. I like SSB and with SSB it is a good idea to have a frequency counter built into the radio. If it had those two things it would be perfect in my eye's. I love the Mod lamp and the power, plus the lights look fancy as well. I am a sucker for nice LED lights on a radio. I purchased a DX93T, it has the things I like. If you only want AM then get this radio. I love just about every Galaxy radio made. I plan on getting a 98VHP, 95T2 if I can find one for under $450. that is in good condition would also like to get a DX86 they are nice and small for cars and trucks that don't have a lot of room for a full size radio.
