Awesome, awesome video. Kurtis story was so cool as well as Kens insights and resonance. This has been on my watchlist for a while and I finally got round to it. Two of the best in the game. Very profound conversation and I learnt a lot. Key takeaways: filtration in terms of who your using to learn from is key, increase your luck surface area by unwavering belief in yourself and showing up, using conversation and writing in tandem to clarify your thoughts, how to respond positively to loss and grief, deliberate practice to become proficient at ML and code, the influence of your environment on your decision making, reading good books consistently continual learning

Honestly it is hard to be a data analyst as a consultant before you might not understand the business well. The corporate culture needs to change:improve. Remember supervisors are humans. The bad supervisors can be an issue of the company.

This was a great video. I am still fresh in the realm of data science and haven't attended these type of conferences yet. So my question to you is, what questions would I ask role models like you or anyone else in these conferences? I tried to think of some possible questions but nothing came to mind. Thanks for your time and have a good day

My unfair advantage is I was born in Canada 🇨🇦 and made my way into the US (I was not complicit as I was only 6 years old) with my family under the guise of heading into the US on a family vacation only to permanently reside in the US and becoming legal 3 years later. I’m now a US Citizen which is an unfair advantage compared to the rest of the world who didn’t start with the same advantages. Adding to that I’m a well built male at 6’3 and due to my passion for learning I really have an unfair advantage because I have access to a lot of free information along with a society that allows me to represent myself in various platforms and arenas. How many people can say that they have fought the law and the law didn’t win? I know Jesus was victorious over the Pharisees and Sadducees and after losing my job in 2021 and becoming almost bankrupt I was sent to collections and later sued by junk debt buyers. I did my due diligence compelled the junk debt buyer into arbitration (see arbitration clause in most credit card agreements) and I won based on the fact that the junk debt buyer was unwilling to provide their purchase agreement but instead tried to use out of context exhibits in violation of original documentation rules and hearsay rules of evidence. So did I have an unfair advantage, in the context of the rest of the world, yes. In the context of every American no.

This is a very good eye opener and timely information for me. I am currently working towards switching from ICT educator to a Data Scientist. I completed my first course couple of weeks ago and now on to a year long course with Alx. I also happen to start An MPhil in Management Information Systems, is this going to be a right Masters Degree to qualify me for Data Science role? My undergraduate is in IT Education.
