Good question. "Chehalis River near Montesano, Washington USA". Peels Slough is just a channel, not a feeder creek or river. All this flows into the Pacific Ocean SW of Seattle.

I have too and have been kayaking for ten years but hadn't really studied this area until recently. Besides spotting the launch under the bridge south of Montesano, there's a brief place to see Friends Landing across the river 4 miles south. I went back again and will be posting. Don't think it will ever get too crowded deep inside due to many fallen trees. Fishing potential.

@@allanfritz3050 sounds like a peaceful place to cruise around in a kayak or small boat .... I used to fish until I started catching more fishing gear than I did fish ...

@@allanfritz3050 if you ever go the back way towards Astoria there are dozens of different sloughs you drive over or by you should check that place out it's pretty out there barely any house's also ...

@@allanfritz3050 You should check naselle river area there are a handful of different sloughs down that way and very rural , super cool I've drove by several different times and I think it's a beautiful place ... never had the time or chance to stop and explore more ....

Sorry I didn't see the notification. I only have the old '14 AI and a 10'x31" sit on top. I used to carry spare masts and could replace one in ten minutes. I bought the new kick-up/reverse and so far (about 10 river trips) it hasn't broken. I paddle w/mirage pulled out or get out and drag the boat in the shallows. I have no desire for a less safe sea kayak and quit after my first lesson as I didn't want to return and learn to roll. If it's windy & rough I put on the amas & sail as I can compact everything. I'll include a post here of sailing down a slough, folding up the amas with the kick-up and banging up a creek. Further down Near the end I am sailing the Columbia River. At the top of the opening page are all my posts collected in 'My Trips Sorted'. Bone River, Cullaby Lake were fold-in & de-masted trips too after using the full sail boat to get there. @@allanfritz3050 Thanks Allan! I am about to purchase a Hobie Revolution 13 to explore the Willapa Bay rivers and creeks. I live in Oysterville. I really like the AI concept but my budget says Revo 13. I have an extensive monohull sailing history and I'm downsizing for river exploration. I'll definitely check out your related posts.

Yours and a few other inquiries has me working on a future post of a few of my Hobie AI moments NOT using it as a sailor on tropical waters.This is their FB group: Hobie Adventure & Tandem Island Owners. Here is a video of a simple upgrade to nearly any Hobie kayak that is factory designed to create a stable/powered sailboat that is light and doesn't need a trailer. Sail is 35% the area of mine. I've got a Laser copy beached on Black Lake with a new 'radial' sail & simple lines to share if we ever meet up. I would probably buy a Revo 13 now if I was buying new, I just happened into an inheritance when I bought my AI. Before I forget...If you stop by BOLD just north of Long Beach I've written a book that lists, and will help plan any.paddle trips fro our peninsula up to Ocean Shores, south to Wheeler and east just shy of Longview for we live in the middle of a great area not well documented yet. @@ftd224
