Responsibility of Being a Messenger
There's a responsibility that comes with being born and raised in an underserved community and growing to become an individual who has access to spaces and resources; and that responsibility is to come back and share what you have learned with your community.
This page is for those who have made the conscious decision to move in their calling and prioritize people over profit. There will be various content posted on this page of community leaders, panelists and those who are moving in their calling to build a village.
Off The Wake Up Sole mission is to expose youth of the working class to the narratives of how we exist outside of the images portrayed through media by bringing together change makers of color to speak about their journey to where they are now and most importantly how they have come to understand the power of their voice.

I’m so grateful I aligned with this video. God brought me here and I understand why. You have such a bright light shining within you that is infectious and warm. Your words have humbled and inspired me at the same time. I pray that you continue to remove the fear, lean into your purpose, and walk by faith! Keep growing and keep going! I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “to be great is to be misunderstood”. I use this as an internal mantra because it really doesn’t have to make “sense” when you surrender to God and put your trust in him.

Wow, study abroad in london? WoW, cry aby a White mass shooter while ignoring the hundreds of black mass shooters? hes anti White, hes a horrible person.

A wonderful Voice Jordan Pierre is, in a United States - where presidential candidates show tangible amounts of racism - echoed by their base, we must rise to the occasion to dismantle that which has been prevalent since -colonization- of the U.S. it is an honor to put my life on the line as a - Marine - [Cpl] for those of civility - i love the civility and confrontation of the lack of civility in our culture that Jodan Pierre pointed out - which needs all of our action to bring civility to ALL of our-US-People #SemperFiedArtist

Such great perspective that I had to reflect on myself. Since I went to an HBCU I got to blossom and be myself. But hearing you I can only imagine what your PWI experience was because we all know Americas lessons teach us it is not the curriculum that makes it rigorous but the systematic structures that try to strip us and keep us behind for just being black. This message is profound and needs to heard around the world. I will follow you Jordan all the way to the top!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
