I've been woodworking for over 30 years Frankie and I'm still an amateur. We are all just practicing. As long as we have fun making sawdust.🙂
Hi Marty enjoyed your video. Your Dewalt makes alot of noise--hopefully you dont have hearing problems--I am 67 years young--I use ear phones. dust mask/and magnifying lighted glass from Harbour freight--hope this will help--keep scrolling.
Thank you sir for watching and for your comment.🙂
Hi Marty from South Carolina--I worked for a Plywood Company for 26 and 1/2 years. I learnt alot about Safety I try to keep my projects to a minium--due to Safety. I do 1 thing at a time .

very nice Marty--I am a Scroller--I love my Delta At end I use Beeswax--wow--brings out the grain on all work especially my prayer crosses--again--very good video--keep it going.🤩
Yes I really like the Delta scrollsaws. I like the quick release blade holders and I just like the way they run. I'm hoping to find a good old Delta table saw too sometime. I'm old fashioned I like the older brands as they were built better and last longer. Thanks again for watching!
In Indiana and Michigan have Menards too i don't know about Ohio i do know Indiana has Menards
Yeah I really like Menards for their wood selection, variety of tools, and many other things. A fun homey store. 🙂

Yea it would be fun to have a chili cook-off sometime. I like this recipe and it reminds me of my dad.🙂
That chili is from Wendy's. I recognize it.
No, it's actually mine.😊
The largest pawn shop in New Mexico is in Clovis.

Thank you my friend.🙂
Good morning brother be safe God bless you
Good morning Mike and you as well!
Tell us about your experience. Which is better, coffee in this pot or the traditional way by boiling it ?
Thanks so much for your question! So I really enjoy my coffee and have multiple ways of making it; auto-drip, coffee press, pour-over, instant, percolator, bush coffee, and now espreseo/mocha pot. They are all good and fun in different ways and circumstances. But my favorite way is bush coffee in my canteen cup on an open fire. It's simple, relaxing, and tastes great. But this espresso was wonderful too and I will be using it often for a strong cup. Thanks for watching!🙂
@@MartysRamblings2024 thanks and keep going 👍
I haven't been on UA-cam for a while now. I know where your at I've been there before when I lived in Los Angeles many years ago. Glad to watch your videos always good. From the Adirondacks here in NY.

I’m just starting to use a scroll saw and looking for some help in finding some good saw blades. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
There's a bunch of good blades out there, but my favorites are Flying Dutcman and Olson. As far as sizes #2 works nice for thinner wood and #7 works nice for thicker wood, but in general I use a #5 most of the time for everything. I like the older Delta scrollsaws and you can get great used ones cheap on Facebook marketplace, otherwise the DeWalt is great too. When your scrollsawing just take it slow and it's easier to follow the line and blades last longer. Lots of places to get wood for scrolling and lots of patterns out there. I have a bunch of videos on scrollsawing tips if you want to watch. Again I don't know everything and I'm always learning too. Thanks for watching and have fun making sawdust.🙂
Thanks for the information @@MartysRamblings2024

I really really like that mat 9:37 e very simple and easy to make I'm sure that my granddaughter wood like one of those in her bedroom because it's very comical she will love it thanks for the video ❤ I'm not a carpenter either mate i was a labourer gardener but now that I'm retired my shed is my second home for my hobby work so keep doing what you do I'll learn from you 👍👏
Thanks for watching! Yeah it's an easy build and a unique one, lots of options. I'm sure she'd like it and it's fun to make. Thanks for your comment and have a great day!🙂

I love this idea. I've been playing online for 25 years under the name Niffen Von Footstool.
Nice! You should make one too and I'm sure you'd have fun with it. Thanks for watching.🙂
Great video Marty I am also making scroll saw ornaments.

This is genius!
Thanks for watching! Just something fun.🙂
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I just discovered your channel and I already subscribed with a like, because I liked you and I'm starting this hobby. I want to learn from you, hugs, thank you!
Welcome! Thanks for watching. Well I'm not sure I am one to learn from but thanks. I am always learning myself and like to share as I learn. I do have a scrollsaw playlist of all my ramblings on my scrollsaw if you want to watch them. Again, I still have a lot to learn. Thanks again for watching and for your comment.🙂
Another great video Marty, love the Christmas ornaments and making hardboard templates for them. Love all the different wood choices. Having fun trying to relearn how to follow a line on my scroll saw lol. Going to make that ornament.Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you sir! I am always learning too. I was showing our youth yesterday as they were over here making little crosses to go in Christmas boxes this year, and I was telling them that following the line on a scrollsaw is kinda like driving a car. It really is. If you want to stay on the road you turn left or right slightly as needed to stay on the road, as the road turns; same on a scrollsaw just turn left or right slightly as needed to stay on the pattern line. Also I tell them to take it slow, then it's easier to stay on the line and it's better for the blade too. Again I'm always learning, and never want to stop learning.🙂
Great video, I like watching things made from different kinds of wood . I'm unsure what hard wood's work good with the scroll saw. I do a lot with plywood just for practice. It was helpful when you made one thing from different kinds of wood . So thanks again.😎
So for me personally my favorites for scrolling are poplar, yellow birch, maple, walnut, cherry, and oak. Poplar is my go-to for most things. It's better than pine but still affordable. I also really enjoy using different other woods when I can get them like padauk, rosewood, purple heart, zebrawood, etc. For the most part I like tight grain woods as they don't splinter or break as much. For thickness scrolling Christmas ornaments I like 1/4", and even 1/2" sometimes. For standup names and other wordart I like 3/4"-1". I buy most of my boards at Menards, but I also get alot of great free cutoffs from cabinet shops and other businesses. Also a great source is taking apart old furniture. I am actually right now scrolling ornaments in nice solid walnut boards from an old dresser. Thanks so much for your comment!🙂
Keep up the amazing creativity!!
Thank you sir! It was perty simple really. Just something silly.🙂
