I found the 4th of July Strawberries chart on etsy for $12. Is that what you'd consider reasonable? Ack! Shipping is $4.45 Robbers! $10.79 on 123Stitch. I'm still working on A Prairie Schooler year -- I didn't stop at the end of September -- but I took a break to work on my stranded knitting class. I liked that. Question about the retreat -- won't there be a "commuter" option this year? I kind of liked that option last year, but it isn't a deal-breaker. Congrats on all the stitching progress. Making great progress!!

I love your progress. The Prairie Schooler patterns are somewhat simple yet beautiful, and even though it's all cross stitch, it seems to go quickly because the subjects appear quickly. On the Halloweenies stitch, I vote for the witch that is right above the crow on the front cover. Dang! I just noticed when you showed your start on October in A Prairie Year, that I stitched the vertical stripes in the middle of the pumpkin orange! Oh, well. That's how they're staying. I can't imagine why I did that... Have a wonderful couple of weeks. ~P

I love A Prairie Year by Prairie Schooler. I wonder if it is available anywhere electronically. I am so spoiled by Pattern Keeper! Congratulations on finishing Folk Art Merry Christmas. I want to get started on that, but I need to finish something to free up a Q-snap (or buy another one... NO!). Still working on my temperature blanket, of course. I was traveling the UP for a couple of days with my daughter, and the blanket has kind of gotten too big to take along with me, so I had to catch up once I got home. Take care. I'll watch what you stitch for September and maybe I'll join along. ~P

I'm playing catch up ... we've been in the middle of moving, and that has consumed life for the past few weeks. Your finishes look great! I love my Reyna shawl and could see myself making another -- I love the over you've chosen. 1200 stitches/day ... 😮. I think I've put in about 10 stitches in the last month. I'm really starting to miss it and hope I can get myself to a place where I can sit down and do some crafting here soon!! I hope the trunk show went well. ~Katrina

I bought yarn for the Reyna shawl during the Michigan yarn crawl, but I haven't started it yet. I saw a knitted cap at Dragonfly in Essexville and loved it, so the lady there told me what the pattern was, and I have since made 2. It's called the 1898 hat and the pattern is free on Ravelry. She thought they might be having a class for it coming up. Wow! I love Folk Art Merry Christmas. I wish it was available in pdf, so I could load it into Pattern Keeper. You're doing a great job on it and it's beautiful. I can see that double-matted with red and green mats and maybe a gold frame. That butterfly is beautiful. I applaud your persistence on Lady of the Flag. It WILL get finished, eventually. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and maybe it's her torch. I'll try to make it to Stitch 'n Time tomorrow. If I remember! ~P

Your daughter's sweater is coming along so nicely! Kudos to you for picking it back up! The temperature blanket is inching along, and let me tell you, it will be huge! Mine is around 4 ft at the half-way point, which was July 1, when you consider the 11 extra rows that go between months. I have decided that I'm NOT working in the ends as I go, because it caused extra bulk and therefore a wavy edge. So, I pulled them all back last week (apprx 360 ends to pull out, eek!) and they are relaxing, hopefully, back to their proper shape. I will do the envelope border she recommends when I finish Jan 1, 2025. Hummingbirds around here are black (or very dark brown, maybe) with a ruby throat. I see many every day. The frame they show for that bigfoot/bee piece is just adorable. I'm going on the Mid-Michigan yarn crawl Tuesday, the 16th. I already know, based on the LYS's Monday night video, what yarn I will buy there and the pattern I'll use. I'm going to buy their custom color "Tea With Friends" and the shawl pattern "Let's Twist" by Lily Go! Kristin shows it during the video and it's beautiful. That's the only purchase I have planned, but I know once I hit those stores, I'm in trouble. We are planning to go to 10! I bought a mat cutter and some mat board, so my daughter and I are going to give some framing our attention this coming weekend. We both have plenty to frame. We "know a guy" who will make us custom frames. Have a great week. See you next time.💙

What fun to see the bacon stitch done! I loved it when you bought it. I measured my temperature blanket on Saturday and it was 62" wide and 43" long. It won't be half-done until July 1, so it's going to be huge. But, of course, mine is made of worsted weight yarn, so that will make a difference. I bought a Sentro 48-pin loom on Marketplace last week, so I have yet ANOTHER thing to distract me from finishing things. I haven't taken it for a spin, yet. :-) Take care and have a lovely summer with long weekends. ~P
