So interesting. I was an animal nurse, not a human one and this takes away a lot of fear for me about when my end comes. I can understand much of the clinical language and etiology of symptoms. I live with my elderly grandmother and she is fine, I just want to be prepared to help any way I can if she needs me - she will be 90 in September. Seems to be in fine health. Thank you for a wonderful resource.

I have to really drill home I need full disclosure on every aspect of the pre/post op procedures. I find from past experience especially with anesthesiologists I'm treated like I don't need or couldn't comprehend what they are doing. I'm not nervous going in to surgery I'm defensive!

Thank you. I have a major distrust of hospitals, I was molested by a doctor and verbally abused by nurses as a child. I have to keep bringing this up to get staff to understand where my head is at. I was never asked if I had any additional stressors going into major surgery.

The reason I am confused about the neonate's immunity is because I saw an answer on the study guide of the 9th edition of Medical Surgical Nursing said that it was innate immunity. But I always think it's acquired and I think your PPTs says the same. Thank you!

Hello, Thank you for this video. I was thrown off at the part that nurses should not be involved in euthanasia. With this option being allowed in many States, isn't this something nurses should be involved in? This may be some research I will have to find on my own but I am assuming that nurses now have to play a part of that process (if they live in those States).
