I got into fish keeping thanks to a couple of middle school students where I work gifting me a betta in a one gallon acrylic box back in Sept 2019. It has just ballooned from there. This channel is really a video diary of my journey with this obsession.
Jonah's Aquarium Unboxing!!!
One new species for me, and one species I've kept before. I've also since changed my mind about putting the studfish in the 125 with the redfin pickerel.

I've seen them do this dance a few times before, and I couldn't see any eggs afterwards. Fingers crossed!
Office Tanks Tour (It's been a while)

I completely redid the 40 gallon breeder's hardscape and planting. The stocking hasn't really changed all that much, if any. The 20 gallon long has a few new inhabitants, but nothing y'all haven't seen before. Around 2 years old now
Really beautiful native tank. Really want a tank of them.
They are beautiful, but they can be buttheads. I got mine from Jonah's Aquarium, and I'm pretty sure they still have some.
great video great fish thanks for sharing!
Great new fish! My first darters were rainbow darters from Jonahs. The ones I have now i collected with his dipnet 😁

Great looking fish!

Fingers crossed! Keep us posted!😊😊😊
Says you posted this video 1 year ago, so not sure if this will be helpful for you. If you are still having floating issues with the wood, I have done this with large pieces of wood that I couldn't get to stay down even after soaking in the tank for up to and over a year. I always furnished my aquariums with natural wood, rocks and plants, so the smaller gravel substrate did help to hide this trick. If a piece of wood wouldn't stay down I would get a piece of slate cut to fit in the the bottom of the aquarium. I would prop the wood up to the way I liked it best then mark the base of the wood onto the slate with a non toxic crayon or chalk that could be washed off. I drilled, generally 2, 3 or 4 holes into the slate with a masonry drill bit just large enough to clear large flathead solid brass or stainless steel wood screws. Drive the screwws into the wood from the bottom and countersink them. Place the slate down on the bottom of the tank first, if covering with smaller rock or just leave it visible.
It's slowly getting better. When I first put it in, it required 7 good sized river rocks to hold it down. It's down to 4 rocks now. 3 rocks works as long as nothing bumps into the wood...when always happens.
You're a great moderator!
Thanks! Tonight was busier than usual.
Nice tour Gabriel 👌

HE IS AN AWESOME LOOKING BUTTHEAD!!! STUNNING COLORATION OF THESE "FISH" I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT BREED THEY ARE! TELL US DAMNIT!
They are longear sunfish, native to the US. I got mine from www.jonahsaquarium.com/.
You finally got a female?
I haven't bought any new longears.
What do you feed your long ears?
In the video they were eating chopped tilapia and chopped shrimp. They will eat pellets too. I used to feed them Vibrabites and flake when they were smaller.
New sub 😊
We had a strong thunderstorm overnight, and the puddle looks like a normal puddle now. The blue is completely gone.
Gotta contact the environmental agency in that area because that can be rly damaging to the environment around it
Wow that's crazy. It's pretty but what's it from.
Is it a bloom?
I thought about that, but I couldn't find anything on algae blooms that are that color.
Definitely Koolaid
What happened to your female longear sunfish
Contact your local environmental agency pleaseeeeeeese.
It looks like copper sulfate, or something similar.
Yes
Looks like Pond dye I use it in my koi pond
@@jameshornacek8436 that doesnt sound natural
You definitely need to contact somebody. Looks like fabric softener. I'm amazed anything is alive in there, but whatever was put in that water definitely isn't good for the ground water!
keep it on fire QC!! 🔥
Yeap had to post one me benching 115 pounds the other day. Nice work.
Тот случай когда походил на тренировку около месяца и решил снять видео. Продолжай делать это каждый месяц и через год сможешь увидеть результат.

Dig the production style,QC. Simple and articulate. Thanks!
It's funny that us American fish keepers, keep almost no native fish. Your tanks are BEAUTIFUL!
Same goes for south american fishkeepers, they go for asian fish most of the time lol
Where are the watermelon tetras?! Beautiful tank set up the last one
I'm down to two now.
Beautiful collection! Thanks for sharing!
