Really good horror film that tried something truly new in a saturated genre of found footage horror. Gave it a good go and created a good movie in my opinion, that's comendable

Great movie in a lot of ways, but man, I have mixed feelings about it due to the death of the Dream Warriors. Kincaid was the only one who went out like a warrior, Joey and Kristen should've done way better. But doggone it, mostly, I just wish they didn't go down at all.

I agree that it never needed a sequel, but you gotta admit that Exorcist III was awesome!

So, it had just enough of Freddy. All his lines and visuals land, so I don't know what you're talking about. If we would have had less Fredsy, we would have had to fill that time with more of the kids and staff, which I think would have hurt the movie. Everyone sid just enough in this movie but none of them can carry a movie. So they got just enough time. The first ANOES isn't as good because Nancy and her friends have bad dialogue and aren't that likeable.

What a great discussion! I love a lengthy discussion about this film, and it doesnt seem like there are too many that come along.... I absolutely agree the theater experience is the best way to view this Master Class of a film! I just saw the 4k version a few days ago in the theater, and while i have a few complaints to the added music and the color saturation, it is still a fantastic experience. This will probably be the main version shown in the future when it does get theatrical releases, just as "the version youve never seen" has been what has been played in theaters since 2000, it is just something I have to get used to. Not like it is going to stop me from going to any future showings... Fantastic job guys!

This is the 5th ranking video I've watched. I don't know how anyone, who considers themselves to be a Halloween fan, could not put Halloween Ends as the worst in the franchise. It not only lacks Michael through most of the film but Lori is unlikable the rest of the film is boring as hell. In fact I think it might be on my list of worst slasher films of all time.

13. Holloween Ends- The first Holloween film where Lori Strode could be killed and nobody would care. Michael is gone from most of the film. They missed the opportunity of making Cory the new antagonist, but instead make him an inept killer. 12. Rob Zombie's Halloween 2, Dreams of white horses and a fakeout of a beginning, unrealistic raunchiness, and making Dr Loomis a total ass. 11. Resurrection, killing Lori Strode, forgettable characters 12. Curse of Michael Myers, Killing off Jamie by a conspiracy cult with no clear purpose and Dr. Loomis loses it. 11. Halloween kills, Michael can kill people without even coming in physical contact . Like how he takes out a team or armed people with just a knife. "Evil dies tonight" cringe. 10. The Revenge of Michael Myers, Just a Friday the 13th ripoff. beginning with killing off Rachel. Nothing original 9 Halloween 3, No Michael but a decent story All the rest are about the same in entertainment value as long as I stick to Rob Zombies edited for tv version. I really don'tt mind the back story. Its just a different take on the character. Nothing they can do in a remake can ruin a film as long as the original still exists.

Love that you have Halloween 4 at #1. If I’m honest, as far as my rewatching & preference, that’s probably mine too. It was my first horror movie experience ever in 1991. I’ve watched it more than any other horror film by far. Probably seen it 100 times no joke. I often put it #2 behind 1978 simply because of the family storyline but if I rank mine like the 2nd guy on this video then the original would probably be 2, 3, 4 or 5 as far as what I prefer and actually watch more. My ideas for Halloween going forward. I would take a break on adult Michael for 6 years. In 2028, 50th anniversary, I would reboot it with changes. Keep the basics of Michael’s childhood murder, escaping from Smith’s Grove, returning to Haddonfield on Halloween & the mask/coveralls & Loomis. However give us different protagonists and change the last two acts of the film. Over the next 6 years do some streaming series with things in a prequel fashion, Silver Shamrock stuff, Loomis backstory/he and Michael in 1963-1978 and/or anthology limited series. Then boom 💥 at the 50th anniversary reboot and go with it.

I’m actually a huge Halloween Resurrection fan and I’m currently working on a fan film sequel called Halloween Retribution here’s the plot synopsis. Michael Myers roams free around Haddonfield again after the events of Halloween Resurrection, to haunt the survivors of his previous massacre and traumatize a new generation while the son of Laurie Strode, John Tate, goes to Haddonfield with the idea that the Shape is still alive and seeks out Leigh Bracket, to claim vengeance upon the masked killer.

I would give it a B. Its fun and the story is solid. Nice review guys.
