everything done in Max! The particle system I made while following Federico's "Amazing Max Stuff" tutorial on particle systems! I built it in tandem and then branched off and started modifying it to work within my own patch.

@@Onokio btw. i can probably imagine that this needed a lot of graphical processing. did you use a high end gpu for that or is this possible with less good ones or even just internal cpu gpu's?

I would need to know more specifics if you're having issues. First of all I specifically didn't include some percussive samples so the user could add their own sound, so the samples around "jongly.aif" are absent, replace those with whatever you'd like! But initially, start the metro with "START/STOP" toggle, then focus on the main timing meta sequencer section in orange, which is the master sequencer for the main synth and other sequencers / effects. Click on the left most toggle in that orange section and that should start the first step of the preset sequence (it will start on the 1 of the measure, similar to Ableton's timing system). Hope this helps, it's a mess and I named it "complete dev package" for a reason, it's mostly for dissection. There is another sequencer on my Gumroad called "amb_1" and that is more user friendly (from what people have told me).

You can do it! It just took me time slowly teaching myself, I don’t consider myself all that “smart”, just deeply tangential minded which I think Max rewards that sort of behavior.

It was challenging, mainly because there was no way to get to the solder joints of the chip's legs, so I had to very sloppily attach the cables to the upper legs. thnx.

So it's a tad too messy to properly make a tutorial. But here's the basics: Create a main sequencer "brain", like how Ableton works on a clock/timing system, so does this system. Nothing wildly complex, metro into a counter, sel "x" to trigger presets on particular steps of the clock, different modifications to clock. Then there's a polysynth I trigger, along with individual envelopes for each voice which have a pattr modulating the params. After that there's some percussive elements, some have their own delay lines/filters, there's a few master FX, and then the A/V system I followed Federico's Amazing Max Tutorial on Particle FX, and made my own custom mods to the system as I was building along with the tutorial. That's about it! Hope this is helpful! :)
