Wow. I have purchased every Far Cry title since Far Cry 4, but I will never purchase a Far Cry game with a damn timer. It's sad because the Far Cry series is really the only Ubisoft franchise that I still like since I started disliking Assassin's Creed after Black Flag which was the last good Assassin's Creed to me.

If Ubisoft want to do a timer based game, then do it. Just don't put it under the Far Cry label. If it was its own thing instead of tacked on to an existing series, there wouldn't be so much hostility towards it.

Also, i can't wait for GTA6, and again, PS5 PRO will have the best version until it lands on PC a year or two later. Anyway, you slice it. I think the timer is actually a pretty cool idea, as long as they do it well, also if the whole "family members can die and change the story" is properly implemented gives the game loads of replay value. Just look at deadrising 1 and 2 that did the timer really well but you still had plenty of space to explore the map and discover the secrets the map had. 4:40 yes, that's called decision making, it's a really cool part of games that actually require you to think for yourself instead of having markers or yellow paint/cloth tell you exactly where to go for the best ending. Kind of the most engaging part of the better RE games. You have to think for yourself and decide what's more important and sacrifice potentially important items to increase your chances of survival. You'd also have to pick your fights a bit more carefully because you'd had to decide to save ammo and run past enemies but at the cost of leaving an important room with threats in it or use some ammo that you may need later to make the current room safe for the future. I would kill for a farcry game to do something like this, you have to decide between sacrificing your time to clear an outpost to make and area safer or simply leave it to save time but leave a threat for the future. It would give a whole new dimension to the outposts and give the franchise some much needed player engagement, which is has been lacking for years. Also I quite liked the farcry 4 dlc that was timer based. It was a bit barebones but it was an awesome breath of fresh air for the series.

Yeah that's a no from me, dawg. Even games like Majora's Mask I absolutely hated when I was younger because the constantly ticking down timer and the limitations on what you can do in a given time frame is anxiety inducing and frustrating, and that's honestly one of the more forgiving ones. I _do_ think it's a neat idea that certain people would love, and I welcome them trying new things and all that, but I just absolutely hate time limits in games.

Fact is Xbox has put out more console exclusives that don't run on past-gen consoles this gen than Sony has and it hasn't even actually begun. The line-ups between the two for the next 2 years are like night and day. 30+ million console users is nothing to sneeze at and it will grow along with Game Pass. Microsoft is making more money in gaming revenue-wise than Sony is. Let that sink in. All uncomfortable truths for some who have been used to the status quo. Sony is the one bleeding money and cannot survive on console sales alone. They're unable to fund their usual (highly expensive) movie games, which don't sell enough to cover the cost, and as a consenquence have tried pushing into PVP for immediate cash but failing (Concord, Bungie) and making them multiplat on Xbox on day one (Marathon). Those are not the actions of a platform at rest.

This sounds like a really cool idea since it ups the intensity I think the problem is that people think the timer continues when you stop playing and obviously we don't know how this works yet

Drop the timer keep the interrogation and make us tourist in Brazil getting lost some where by the Amazon

Damm, I thought that players hated how 'spoon-fed' ubisoft games had become. I was under the impression that they wanted consequences with non linear missions. I heard that players grew stale of playing far cry 3 over and over again expecting shit to change. I get that innovation for the sake of innovation is very stupid but I personally think that calling ubisoft ubislop then hating on any signs of risk taking is hypocritical. Bro just say what it is. Its DEI and woke that killed most of the games. We can have beautiful characters like Ezio, Lara Croft etc 7-8 years ago and people loved playing those games but now every game has to make the character ugly as possible, prime eg is Star Wars. The voice actor looks beautiful but they purposely made her uglier in the game.

I blame people who complain about how Ubisoft's games are all too big. So now they want to show that's not all they make. I don't always have a lot of time to play games. I want to play them as I have time. I might have to put it away a few months even. It doesn't seem like the kind of game you'd do too good in if you play that way.

Why are people upset xbox exclusives coming to playstation? More people get to play more games? We all know you just play two games every year anyway. (COD & FIFA) Cant we all just play games, enjoy and shh.

With Halo MCC, Gears, Indy, Doom, Outer Worlds 2 and Forza Horizon 5 all going to PS5 there's no reason for me to buy an Xbox.

To be fair, Final Fantasy 7 remake wasn't going to sell that much on Xbox regardless because of how long it took. You can't give a platform a game 4 years later, at near full price, and expect them to buy it. If anything it screams as something that should hit game pass.
