I see a reflection of the past. And like you said, they were living breathing people, who lived in a time we can only imagine, and meadows and prairie land still pristine and the air fresh and clean. They had loved and lost. Let’s never forget how precious life IS.
If you play red dead redemption 2 game they have a group that’s based off of the bushwhackers
Only 2 brother's participated in the shootout not 3 of them.
I live there
My great great grandfather was John Ray and slave holder who bore 4 children with Rhoda
The bush whackers were not Confederates. The Bush Whackers predated the Confederacy. The Confederacy lasted 4 years
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I see your channel is doing awesome. Good stuff... Good stuff!
Thanks! I haven't been active on it over the last year, but thinking about starting to create some more content in the near future. Looks like you are doing well! Congrats Corey! Much deserved.
Really good to see you mate...Great to see you on the livestream... Thanks for visiting!
Hi, I subscribed after Cory's livestream yesterday
I live near this cemetery and this is a beautiful video.. thank you!
Can't hear the commentary because the music is so loud, otherwise I liked the content,,
That was a good one. Loved it. Thank you for doing this
Great video,I really liked the background music too
Thank you for this information.
My uncle William Bledsoe, was one of the raiders killed that day. Him and one other was the first residents of the cemetery built to bury everyone killed that day, there are two unmarked graves in there. That's the them.
Had some great keg parties at Isaac Walton League.
The wading pool has been there for 100 years. There use to be a huge inn over behind the fish area back in the 1930’s
This man is a cold blooded killer he was for slaughter not God. He is responsible for clear lake massacre and the bloody island massacre
I remember when this happened. There were also reports of UFOs
89 years ago today it "was death for Bonnie and Clyde." May all be at peace. I've seen the house in Joplin when it was a ruin.
I went there
Too bad the officers are forgotten from deadly shootout.
Conclusion: I an interested in this topic but it has and will give me nightmares
Wait.. so those are dead people posed to look alive?!? NAHHH THATS CREEPY
I've spent many suns and moons at Shawnee Trails/ Pin Oak Lake. Camping under the two big tree's to kayaking, meteor showers and hiking. I often thought about what the native Americans were going through out there. Sadly the wind mills they've installed put out a red flashing light that creates a eye sore at night in the area if you're camping.
That is so terrible.
Amazing!
Damn fool playing with a gun.
Trivia. Did you know that this site has a Beetle Bailey connection. Mort Walker, who created Beetle, did his training and boot camp here....

War crimes against the Union and Confederacy
SAAAAAAME lol
Obviously Bushwhackers were wrong unless your saying slavery of any color is o.k.? 🤔🧐 Rock Chalk Jayhawks *Go KU*
oversimplification
Meh
Rock Chalk Jayhawks
Cartoon birds
Bahaha! Same here!!!
🤣
I currently live about 2 miles from the site. I drive by it several times a week.
When you showed that image of my favorite mythical creature which is a dragon, I was like “I’m sold. Count me in”. But seriously. Politics suck ass. So much for the United States of America and the other places. In fact, it should’ve been the divided continents, cities, countries, states, traditions, and more for a reason. Why do people like politics? They aren’t leaders. Grown to be leaders can be politicians but grown to be politicians can’t be leaders. Like what has the world come to? Everyone is just throwing hate at each other. What’s worse is that they like the war and drama. They just want it. They literally have no regard for anyone’s life and won’t hesitate to tell them to kill themselves when it can be really hurtful to them. God I hate politics with a pure burning passion.
Thank you for this piece of American history.
Julius Caesar
Loved this story! Very interesting!
I think you're the best narrator in the business. Great stuff as always my friend.
Thanks Cory. I appreciate that buddy.
I got to tell ya... You know your stuff. Great video buddy!
Interesting story. And thanks for the kind words!
You are the best JD. Thank you man. Keep up the great work.
Look what I found. Super awesome video as always Tim. You're the master when it comes to informing us about our history. I got to tell ya... Them were some very kind words of praise that you gave me. That was incredible man. I really appreciate the heart felt sincere recognition and Shout Out! You're number one in my book. You totally made my day. Thank you so much!
I know that area. I was born in Baxter Springs and lived there until I was 15 years old. I never remember hearing of Fort Blair. I knew about Quantrill and there is a monument to remember Quantrill's raid on Baxter on the grounds of the library. I do remember that stone fence but never saw the old wood fence.
You have a way of making history extremely fascinating. Great job buddy!
Thanks Cory!
You know what you're doing... That is for sure. Well done!
