I recently got a 1982 Coliseum and the sound is amazing, deep yet has a great crack to it. Quickly becoming my favourite snare drum. Thanks for the great video, really nice playing.

I just picked up one of these... do you use a drum dial? I got it tuned up by ear and feel but it has some random harmonics and snare buzz at most tunings. Maybe it needs new wires
Hello Spencer, I bought this snare for 50€, So after a complete disassembly, I polished the chamfers and chromes, full cleaning. And i changed : Heads top and bottom Internal mute by the original Ludwig one P40662 The wires too, with the original l1930 For tuning I use a key and my ears too 🤣 The difficulty is due to the 12 lugs. We have to go very slowly for a good tuning and the tension lock are essential. But this snare is so spécial. Good drumming !
