Thank you for the Albert Mohler lecture. Profitable and educational. His explanation about the secular origins of psychology, history, sociology, etc. and the explanation about the ultimate theological goals behind these sciences were very helpful to me. Thank you also for the impactful testimonies of and insightful Q&A from fellow believers who are politicians, judges and lawyers. Being in Canada, I've personally never heard of or met believers who hold such offices so I find it amazing, hard to believe and fascinating to see many believers in the U.S. who hold such offices, and faithfully on top of that.

When were these "Glory Years of Faith"...when pandemics and natural disasters were almost non-existent? It's the question that always trips up the conservative..."When WERE the 'Good Ol' Days', exactly? Be specific." And they never are, because they never existed.

Notice at 31:30 "You can rile up a crowd and then use fear to keep them in line"....in a sermon where he tells fundamentalist/evangelicals to be AFRAID of being oppressed, despite the fact that fundamentalist/evangelicals utterly control one half of the American body politic, i.e. the Republican Party.

It's interesting that this Pastor so nonchalantly said "of course, the church is closed because of covid" and then proceeded to tell us that he doubts the church today would have the courage to stand against Hitler today. He is right, of course, but is he grieved that the church IS closed? I believe he was referencing the church on the Moody campus and didn't seem particularly bothered by the closure of that particular church.
