Buddy Guy is the man that showed Billie Gibbons and Jimi Hendrix how to bend a guitar string.

I’ve been a fan since his first album and still a fan today, January 29, 2018. Keep on Keeping On Robert Cray!
Il a pas une face de craie.
so, this song never got a official release or what? I can't find it anywhere
Great music. Have three of his LPs one cd. Not this track. Hopefully he will play it at Birmingham England this year. Lovely
I couldn't believe when he played at our blues festival a few years back, thought to myself that's gotta be wrong ,but no :)
Seeing him next year. Never been to one of his concerts but have four of his records going back to late 70s early 80s and one cd. Brilliant track never heard it before
You think this world belongs To you, my love That's where you're wrong I've always know that Consider yourself lucky You got the best of the deal How could you grow so cold And tell me that's how you feel? When this love is done When the new ones come Will you think of me? Will you think of me? One last big hug One last good cry One last kiss And then I'll say goodbye You won't get rid of my love With no damn headache pill Oh, the hurt might leave you, baby But I never will When this love is done When the new ones come Will you think of me? Yeah, will you think of me? As I walk out this door Something tells me you're gonna need me By that look in your eyes Ohhh, you gonna need me One day You think this world belongs To you, my love I know there's somethin' Making it hard to walk on To you it may look like nothing But to me it's a lot Ohh, when I leave It doesn't mean that the feeling's gonna stop When this love is done When the new ones come Will you think of me? Hey, will you think of me? Heyyyyyyyyy!!!!! I know you're gonna need my loving
Chills up my spine. Incredible song, great guitar playing.
Lovely song. Cray's guitar accompaniment to his moving vocal is incomparable.
Blobs ?
This is Real Blues..History
The notion, suggested in previous comments, that this is a "rip off" of an earlier song, fails to recognize that the blues idiom is a folk tradition wherein guitar riffs, accompaniment patterns, lyrics, etc. are part of a communal well of inspiration and freely recycled material. No lack of creativity here; it's how folk music works. Nor does it have anything to do with "this fast paced, repetitive technological age". Larry Johnson continues in the tradition, adding his own unique voice.
it evolves
gentle song with power & meaning,,, oh how i think of special man from my hometown, not living here now,,, every day for years!!!!
Very neat arrangement with the band not drowning out the singer ... Robert has a very pleasing relaxed style .... Another great selection from our good friend "Bluesy Bee"
thank you Graham for your kind comment :)
It goes like this...
Robert Cray is the total package and, for more than 25 years, one of my all-time faves, but I don't know how he picked this guy to replace Richard Cousins. His dynamics are all over the place, his tone has no bottom, and he's never in the pocket.
Buddy, your the man!
beautiful
pretty much all the blues and folk players "ripped each other off" and nobody was angry about it. Blues and folk music is supposed to be shared and changed around to suit one's style. Nothing wrong with it. This is a great song.
evolution of folk music
One of my earliest forays into the blues was comparing a variety of artists particular version of "Catfish Blues". Fascinating to see and hear how many of them approached this classic from the "blues well" EVerybody dips into the tradition.
I read the other day that sadly, this great musician passed in 2016..
I getting new to Cray's material. He's truly something to watch. A unique performer.
Really Blues Stringer!
what an amazing voice..... a man who wasn't in the right place at the right time.... I salute you Mr Johnson.xx
nice!
And that with only 5 guys! Great! What a feeling...
This song is so haunting. Highly recommend Blues for Harlem CD.
Pinch Harmonics..
