I was 7 and living about 15 minutes away in elkhart when this was filmed.
In the 1960-1990s...every other station in MN has a Ford -C series,then the ,L-8000,&L9000 series...dependable 💯
The neighbors: SHUT UUUPPP!
Great Video !😊
Old school and the sound of diesel, THANKS!
I was a Glenview teen obsessed with the NSL shortly after it shut down. Around 1967-68 I walked much of the Skokie Valley route and got great exterior and interior photos of the abandoned Highwood office building and shops. Around that time I found a phone number for the line and called. A man, identifying himself as the line’s president answered the phone. I asked him why he was still around several years after the line’s closure. He replied that it takes years to fully close a railroad because there’s so much paperwork. I asked him why the line couldn’t be resurrected and his reply was short: not enough people to make the line profitable. I wonder if that would be a different story today!
Very nicely done and I hope it brings good revenue to the museum. Glad someone saw fit to completely re-invision those South Shore cars into something besides relics.
Do you still make videos? I enjoy the videos you have made.
Man the 90s seem like a different world now. Some things haven't changed though, like those huge LDH bundles on the front bumper! Great video, even if it was a little chompy.
My dad’s birthday was September 30❤
Airhorn is good
Great video! Fantastic seeing the old rigs. I grew up in the late 70s 80s
I found it funny hitting the monkey guards, and I always thought the rats had pupils.

???????????
I miss these games. They showed so much. And I haven't been messing with any bad guys for a while now.
3:13 what the heck is that… chicago ran either black over red or green apparatus
Not true they had a couple trucks that were not black over red, white, or lime green
All the rigs at O'Hare are lime green and have been since before this video was shot.
That's a C- model Ford, one of the most popular mid size truck chassis for that period. Wondering what date this was filmed.
The turnout gesr has changed alot since then
They all busted out from a mental hospital?
Wonderful footage.
Good one!
20:00 - I have been to this railroad crossing MANY times to film trains 20:46 - I grew up in this town for most of my childhood and my parents’ home is still there to this day
I love this video!!!!!!
I would love to meet Randy. He's been my favorite actors even before Emergency in 72. You are so lucky to meet him. Thanks for sharing since I'll never get to meet him I can enjoy this at least. ❤️
Miss These Old Rigs!😢
I remember seeing those types of rigs in Chicago in 97. As an 8 year old I found all of those trucks very interesting. I remember Chicago was one of the fire departments where you could see several active apparatus still using the Mars lights. Which I wonder why did the Econoline 350 ambulances use the single Mars light above the cab? Was that outdated in the 90s? Perhaps even late 80s? I saw that type of ambulance in 97 and it looked strange to me also.
Just so you all know, the guy who made this video is currently in jail.
At 7:58 the second car had a crease in it! It's a shame, must have been brand-new and had a "contact" with something.
none of the houses in this video exist anymore they have all been demolished and rebuilt with new construction since Y2K
What sort of ignorant buffoon put this video together? "62% don't want" this bill? Says who?
I was born on 12-18-95
I worked at EMD in final test and paint as a warehouse man in 1971 to 73. I remember the room upstairs in the main building where they had the toy train displays outside of Personnel where my dad worked for 32 years until he retired. Got to watch in the main bay assembly line as the completed the base and then used the huge overhead cranes to flip over the base before attaching the cab. What a giant factory to work in! I remember working overtime in transmission department and electrical cabinet assembly and the huge cables that conducted the power.
God dam
Rest in peace ☮️ JBadger, you will never 👎 be forgotten.
Like the old rigs.
Where did you get this footage?
this makes me want to end my life

4:08 It's interesting seeing that area without McCormick Place on top.
The fire department is doing a great job
I love the video
What happened to this guy?
He went to prison for doing illegal things involving children. He's where he belongs. He's a disgrace to the railfan community.
@@WesternOhioInterurbanHistory holy crap, you’re right. Just looked it up
Nice, wish I had been there. I have a big crush on Johnny Gage aka Randy Mantooth. Gee, to be that close to the real Squod 51and Randy Mantooth, that would have been a dream come true for me. Love from Marysville, California KMG 365
