After taking the car to my tuner Alex at New era performance he diagnosed the codes back to bad O2 sensor (passenger side) and/or bad injectors (Bank 2 cylinders 2 & 6). I had replaced the spark plugs and then the fuel pump. Also I checked the oil catch can for any vacuum leaks. After checking and replacing spark plugs, fuel pump and catch can, the car kept misfiring above 3k rpm and had a roug...

That LT4 hpfp was it simply bolt on or did you have to remove the shim or add another? and are you running LT4 or LT1 injectors?
I know with most high performance cars you will run threw coil packs did you test the packs also I’m posting the same video showing removal of fuel rail also replacement of injectors seals
@@davisautopro4050 The issue we found was the fuel level sensor was reading wrong. It was reading i had a quarter tank while i was actually empty. Plus i also had 2 bad injectors and bad O2 sensors. I ended up replacing fuel pump, 8 injectors and both O2 sensors, car drives great now.
How do you disconnect the throttle body? I didn’t want to break it
@@NonDormant You unclip the wire harness and then unscrew the screws, comes off pretty easily.
@@andy2ss The wire harness is the one; I am having trouble with, how do you disconnect? Couldn’t come up with the name for it.
Hey man, what were some of the symptoms you were experiencing?
At full throttle the car would cut fuel at around 6k rpm.
@@andy2ss any weird low rpm issues? Or light throttle issues? I have a slight "jerkiness" at light throttle, say around 2k rpm, Mine is manual. (Same car)
@@GERONIMO326 car would idle normal, the only issue I had was at high rpm. Since i had 2 bad injectors it would not let me full throttle the car and the computer would cut power since the injectors were not working properly.
@andy2ss my car seems to idle fine, and revv out to redline fine. But has a very very slight jerky feeling to it when around 2k rpm, in lower gears light throttle. Have literally replaced everything but injectors. Lol and there's no cel
@@GERONIMO326 The injectors seem to be working fine on your car if it full throttles and does not cut power. I think the jerkiness has to do with transmission. Maybe your gears are slipping.
Would it misfire all the time or only when in higher rpms
It would only misfire at high RPM. During normal driving it would not misfire, everything worked normal. I first noticed the misfire when I was merging onto the freeway and I floored the gas pedal and then it started misfiring. I then took it to my tuner who connected it to his laptop and noticed that I had 2 bad injectors and O2 sensors.
@@andy2ss alright cool my car just started missing only when getting on it I swapped the plug, wire and coil but the miss never moved my next guess was the injector
@@banditshane6706 Yes most likely the injectors, cheapest option would be taking them out and getting them cleaned by a shop that has the cleaning machine. If not to replace all 8 is around $800.

do you have to match the coding on the injectors?
Yes, you need to pull out the injectors to get the part number from the injectors. Each bank has it’s own injector flow ‘High flow/Low flow/Nominal flow’. My bank 1 had High flow injectors and bank 2 had Nominal flow.

@@alexanderpayino1259 For some reason they can not. Each bank has a different injector part number, so you have to take off an injector from both sides and find the replacement injector for each side.
@@andy2sscan you go to a chevy dealership to pick up the injector with the same part #
@@StevenMcCart Yes, you have to take off the injectors from the car first, then go to a chevy dealership and they will use the part number to get your new replacements. Each bank has different injector part numbers.

I had clips on taking out the entire fuel rail and fuel lines but I lost them . I plan on getting my injectors cleaned since i run E85 95% of the time, I will make sure to record EVERYTHING next time💯

Why did you change from the white?
I wanted to go back to the OEM color on the side markers, but the stock ones look really ugly. So i just upgraded to the LED side markers.
I have a 22 SS with LTH and E85. I have code P2270, P0172, and P0300. Misses are all localized on Cylinder 3 and everything ignition wise is good, as I've swapped everything around and it doesn't follow. Compression is good at 210 p.s.i. Fuel trims are leaning it out like crazy, but my cylinder 3 spark plug looks super lean and hot while Cylinder 1 looks rich. Any ideas?
It sounds like your car has a misfire on bank 1. Your codes relate to some sort of problem related to either a bad O2 sensor, coil pack, spark plug wire or spark plug. If your spark plug on #3 looks lean it could also be a bad injector meaning it’s not getting the proper fuel in the cylinder. You might want to check for any exhaust leaks as that can also throw off your O2 sensor readings and make the injectors fail.
@@andy2ss ECM shows long term fuel trim on bank 1 to be -34, which means it's pulling a ton of fuel out since it thinks it's running rich, but it's making it all run super lean. O2 sensors are reading the same with KOEO 🫤
@@ethanlancaster1707 Might be tune related. I would check your air intake to make sure everything is clamped and sealed properly. Also might be a good thing to pull out your O2 sensors and compare them to see if they look the same. It shouldn’t be anything major since compression check out good, it should be something easy like a bad injector, spark plug or maybe coil pack or spark plug wire.

Did it fix it after you changed them?
Yes, i had 2 bad injectors so i replaced all 8. And i also replaced my fuel pump and O2 sensors.
Was it hard to take the fuel pump out? Man I’m dealing with a lots I changed coil pack, and all spark plugs. Still throwing a misfire code on cylinder 5.

@@macflight1695 I cut an access door under my rear passenger seat to make it easier. If not, you have to drop your exhaust and remove the driveshaft to drop your gas tank.

Figured it out, i had a bad fuel level sensor on my fuel pump that was reading the gas gauge wrong, plus 2 bad injectors
@@andy2ss man I'm doing an injector as we speak ..its funny u said that lol man it cost me 100 with tax 133.00 for one my number 5 because at high idle or running runs great but on idle the injector is non existent on a v6 those injector fuel rails ain't no joke🤣🤣
@@andy2ss did u end up dropping the tank of fuel tank I hate it because u have to drop alot of things unless u made a access panel to fuel pump

How did your car feel with this issue
The car was idling rough. When i would turn the car on for cold starts it sounded like it didn’t want to turn on. Also, when i would floor the gas pedal it would cut power at around 5k rpm and bog out
@@andy2ss it’s because mine is throwing a code and says “Cylinder Deactivation Exhaust Flow Valve Feedback Circuit High Duty Cycle Bank 1” but there’s different reviews of what the problem could be
@@Edgar01lozano i took it to my tuner and he plugged it in to his laptop with HP tuners and was able to diagnose it in 5 mins. Do you have any mods?
Do you know torque specs for the fuel rail bolts , and fuel lines and their corresponding fittings
21 ft/lb. Basically hand tight then a pass with a wrench

yes, the check engine light was on before the diagnosis. I had it on for a bad O2 sensor after I put my long tube headers on.

After you loosen the 4 bolts, the fuel rail just pulls off?
Yes, after taking the manifold off, just loosen the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail and carefully pry it evenly from both ends.

Yes, I’m running no catalytic converters. Here in California I definitely will not pass smog. But I know a couple people lol

Do you know which fuse for the fuel pump? to release the fuel line pressure?
I did not pull any fuse. I let my car sit for a couple hours after i had turned it on, very minimal fuel dripped out of the fuel lines when i disconnected them from the injector fuel rails👍🏻

How long did it take you to replace your injectors?
I would say about 2 hours start to finish.

@@ecalypto5623 I replaced the fuel pump, both O2 sensors, spark plugs, plug wires, MAP & MAF sensors, I also had 2 bad injectors on Bank2 cylinders 2 & 6 that got replaced. Car is running a little better now, but I think I need a retune.
@@andy2ss I’ve don’t all that except fuel pump and injectors do you have an idea of it was the pump or injectors my car does the exact same thing as yours once get to higher rpm start to struggle and die off
@@ecalypto5623 I have no idea honestly. I will be taking it to my tuner on Friday and I will be filming a video and will see if the tuner can diagnose the problem. I have a strong feeling it needs a retune. With brand new O2 sensors the ecu now reads all the exhaust gas perfectly so i’m guessing it’s throwing off the previous tune
