I find myself watching clips like this because my sweet girl Cookie will be 14 in November and although overall she's doing pretty good for a dog that age I know realistically she's getting towards the end of her life. I've always tended to spoil her but these days more so with that in mind and however much longer she has she will know she is loved every single day.

The world would be a really be a hard place to live if it weren't for dogs.

I adopted Retro and Rhea, brother and sister huskies at 9 weeks old, in 2018. Little did I realize what different paths they would take. Just after they turned 3 yrs old, Rhea began having seizures. Over the course of the next 2-1/2 years, her neurologist tried countless combinations of meds, all to no avail. Somewhere along the line, she also tore both CCLs and combined with her weight gain from her meds, she had a difficult time getting around. She learned to compensate, but still hurt herself often. She had gained weight from 52 lbs to 93 lbs. I gave her meds two, three and four times per day, massages and ice packs on her knees as often as she let me. I gave up sleeping through the night and would do so only when I could, day or night. I became her caregiver as she required constant care. She crossed last year due to multiple organ failure at 5-1/2 years old. She had a total of 63 seizures in these 2-1/2 years. The first day after she left me, I realized rather quickly how I now had nothing to do. That's when the emptiness in my heart overwhelmed me. To this day, one year later, I still think of her often and still miss my sweet Rhea so much. I know one day in the future, we will meet again, in time. Since the day after she crossed, I hug Retro every morning and say to him that today will be his best day. He has not had one sick day in his life and I am doing everything I can so he lives a long and healthy life. I like to think Rhea lives on in her brother.

My 17 year old chiwa has left the planet but I know God will bring her to me when I go😢

I pray for everyone who has lost a dog, it can be heart wrenching! I believe dogs came from God, dogs have the same attributes of love, always forgiving fur babies. How do I know? Dog spelled backwards is "God", they cross the Rainbow bridge and go home, like us someday. I do believe one day we will see our pups again, on the other side!

my dog has died today

Today my last one passed away teddy was the last of 10 he was 16 yrs old he was my companion I will miss him my heart is broken they love you with out expecting any thing they are loyal it's never easy 😢😢
