Another look at E-waste. THEY DID WHAT TO A COMMODORE 64?????
HELP US ON THE ROAD TO 200 SUBSCRIBERS. Thanks!!!!
I thought I would highlight some of the types of things that come in through the e-waste stream. Besides all of the typical computers, stereos and monitors, we get a wide variety of miscellaneous items to go with it. This is just a splash in the bucket of some of the variety we get.

Possible maybe, but likely more effort then practical. You almost have to chisel through the epoxy and you may not get totally clean chips as a result. And you end up ruining the coolness of the clipboard itself.

When I was in elementary school in the 90s, we had an entire computer lab of Apple //e and Apple IIGS computers. All wired up using localtalk phonenet adapters. The server and print spool was a single Mac SE/30 running System 6.0.8. There were also two imagewriters in the lab. All booting off the SE/30 and running a huge library of MECC software. This fascinated me beyond words when I was in 3rd grade. I have never seen anyone do a UA-cam video on this setup. Excellent presentation! I subscribed as soon as I saw the video title :D

The RSA keys are used to login very securely to systems, in the case of the keys you showed they would have been to log into your ETrade account. The keys generate one time codes that are unique to each key and good for about 30 seconds, after which they change and give you a new key. At ETrade they would have an RSA server that knows which keys were given to which account holders and the server can computer the same 30-second keys as the little device.

I don’t think the meters brand (quality) is the main point. You need a meter that is designed for low resistance measurements, preferably with the option to zero out the leads and do a Kelvin measurement. A cheap Chinese meter able to these measurements would also be fine.

The old-school Carbon composite resistors will absorb moisture, or heat up.. and then they usually go UP in resistance. By the 80's this type of resistor fell out of use in favor of the Carbon Film. Now, the metal film is even more accurate and durable.

@DeadKoby it depends on what they are doing. Usually metal film resistors are becoming high Ohm when they overheat and carbon resistors low Ohm when they overheat. So for a failsafe system either or is better
