Il rapporto tra lastra e anilox? Non è quello che pensi
The ratio between plate and anilox? It's not what you think
Well yes, there is no ratio between the screencount of the flexo plate and that of the anilox roll, no parameters such as 1:6 or 1:7 for a quality print. There are other aspects to consider and I explain them to you in this video.
Quale retinatura?

I have been working in the industry for over 20 years. The 6:1 ratio is not a mistake
@@rayan69pl I have not said that it is a mistake, I simply express that without demanding the system, 4:1 for 1% dots. 150 lpi with adequate inks is my recommendation, and it is also verified that each time you increase the ratio you increase the probability of generating scrap and earning less money.
@@rayan69plThis is a safe proportion to work with.
Thank you so much for the clear explanation ❤
Hola, ¡Muy bueno!. Muchas gracias.
Thanku ... Geat videos .

Hello friend. Thank you so much from your training video. Would you please introduce me one book in this issue
Can you please suggest how to find the LPI of the printed matter? To reproduce a job, we need to know what LPI plates are used in the original printed material so that the plates can be prepared accordingly to match the output close to the original one?
Very informative, thank you, could you please share the profile applied for the dog picture or at least show how to edit a F39 profile to have this result ? Thank you
good work
Hi, I work at a flexo prepress and diemaking company that targets corrugated. Are there many variants when talking about substrates? I ask because of certain recent details regarding Ink Trapping, Dot Gain, GCMI color corrections, and we're trying to expand towards flexible substrates and have problems dealing with corrugated fingerprints. Thank you for the video, I really appreciate it.
Great, please can you explain in video how to solve all registers problems in printing flexo central drum machines. Thanks mr Stefano 🎉❤
Way back in '87, I wrote a paper on this to get my BS.
So thankful for this video series. Hope to see more in the future

Good job sir
Your videos are fantastic! Do you have any resources for how to work with screens in Adobe Illustrator for flexo? For example, I have a file with 75% screen and have been asked to cut it back by 10%. I am in the dark on how to do this. Thanks!
Worth to mention that same effect could be obtained with too small volume 😊
Pls send in English

In theory the concept is the same as the "turbidity" of ink layers works in the same way
Mr Stefano .. is is possible to determine which hardness stickyback tape should be used to certain plate production in prepress stage it self?? Soft hard medium tape?
Well, the choice of adhesive tape is made according to the printing condition, not according to prepress or design. So it is decided during optimization phase of system calibration. If you need to change the tape, it means that your optimization was not conducted in the proper way, therefore the aim values and profiles derived from your fingerprint and characterization are not reliable...
@@flexoexpert thank you. Great information
Thanks mr Stefano ❤
Very good information .. If we dont change ourselves we actually not contributing towards real sustainable future...
Molto chiaro, grazie
We call it the ghosts in the machine. You just don’t believe in them and they go away 😊
Something like “close your eyes and they’ll disappear” 😅 not sure if it works tho’
very good information thank you!!
sorry but you are a monster of flexografie... thanks about each video you made
We have a new W&H Novoflex II and when printing with 400-500 m/min (1300-1650 Feet per minute) the plates get dirty fast so i have to clean them every 4-5 rolls. When cleaning plates i loose a lot of time and produce less. I worked on a Soma machine before and had no such issues with the same ink, plates and paper. We use water based ink (flint group) and only print on paper. The viscosity is all right and the machine has a very good drying system. Like i said before on the Some there were no issues and could print 3 shifts without any need to clean plates, drying temperature is set to 60 Celsius on both machines. Any idea how to prevent the plates to get dirty so quick?
Hello @Pilek01, if I understand correctly, the 2 presses that you mention are not working side-by-side now. There could be different variables involved, but I would start checking the blade metering angle and tip contact area: if ink is flooding over the anilox walls due to hydroplaning it might build up on plate shoulders. There are indeed other aspects to check, including anilox engraving balance, plate surface texture, plate package compression and impression settings... that would require a more analytical approach. Feel free to contact me directly on info@flexo.expert: I can provide measurements and troubleshooting also on site.
Hellow sir. Thank you for video. Any question my machine

hi
Very informative webinar. I work in a flexo prepress bureau service and we get really bad files from the customers, and most of the time we manually adjust the colors for better print results.
I can provide training on how to automate your manual work and suggest some useful tools
We hope that you will make lessons on printing offset and flexo cartons
I do lessons in presence: right today I am doing 1st day of 4 lessons with a corrugated printer in flexo
Does printing on cardboard require corners?
if by "corners" you mean screen angles then yes, any printing with AM screening requires that the colors lay on defined angles
I want a video to set the image to be printed on corrugated cardboard (flexo printing) on Photoshop
well, it's not "photoshop" that makes one image printable on corrugated in flexo but the correct calibration of the printing system
Experience matters here too for spot colour on 1st time printing the job.. right?
sorry for late answer but I don't understand: you mean how to define the print sequence for spot colors?
@@flexoexpert exactly Sir.. to achieve desired results as per in monitor or customer sample, with spot colour sequence. There it is experience and science knowledge plays the game. I have seen operators playing with aniloxes instead of sequence to achive colour match for the new jobs ..
@@arunmatrix123 well, this video is related to the sequence of colors. During my training I explain how to determine both for process and spot colors. Predictability of overprinting spot colors is another story.
Hi, I am operating a press. The press is running and it is printing on the paper aluminium foil lamination. Being a water based ink, on some of the prints, the ink after drying is getting removed and in the same scenario on some of the samples, it is not getting removed. What could be the possible reasons.
Hi Ravi, I see you also sent me an email with more details, I will reply to that, thank you
Thank you
Respect 👏👏👏👏
What angle 5. Color cmyk+5. Color
Hi, there are other angles available but it depends on your rip, if it can handle more than 4 angles (some rips don't allow it), on the color and the composition of the image to avoid getting closer to conflicting angles.
Thanks for the information, we have this problem, how are the pressure bars and ley lines? (sorry for the google translate). Thanks
Hello, thanks for comment, the bearer bars certainly help to hide the visual effect but they do not solve the root cause that needs to be addressed properly.
In offset you can reproduce the plate without any adjustment or compensating
Yes Scott, the same happens in flexo: in offset you can output linear plates - just as well as in flexo - for certain printing conditions. Then you apply tonal value adjustments with dotgain compensations curves. The methods described in ISO/TS 10128 are applicable with any printing technology.
I'm relatively new to flex and new to your channel. One struggle I have is controlling viscosity in water base ink. Have you made any videos dealing with that?
