Studio Berner is the official UA-cam CHANNEL of Felix Christian Berner, photographer, filmmaker and digital artist from Germany. My name is Felix Berner, and I am a digital artist and photographer from Germany, with a degree in design, and a passion for filmmaking. I am in love with photography, especially with intensive, cinematic and staged black and white monochrome portraits. I love to free the dark side; the "alter ego" of my subjects. My art is a tale of strength, visual power, male aggression, masculinity, hardness and brutality, a visualization and an odyssey of human emotions, such as sadness, fear, pain, anger, contempt, disappointment, disgust, greed and hate! All these powerful emotions are projected into my photography. My photos are crystal sharp, with a strong contrast and a mysterious mystical aura. I have focused on the eyes of my subjects and transformed them into something out of this world; into something supernatural, and I also reveal something supernatural.

This is a personal message from Felix Berner to Netflix @netflix / @netflixde : How about a Dredd show? I have various ideas, hehe.
This film is made by fans for fans. The entire project is financed and produced by Felix Berner. All costs are covered by Felix out of his own pocket, using his personal funds, to bring this fan film to life. This film is 100% non-profit and is not available for sale. This project relies solely on your support and appreciation and lives on your applause. You can contribute by sharing this project. Spread the word across the internet. This film was released under "fair use" conditions. The entire project is a tribute to DREDD and captures the dark and bleak future of MEGA-CITY ONE. Our goal was to explore and investigate the visual effects of this film to capture the essence of DREDD's style.
The story takes place in Mega-City One and revolves around three judges, corruption, greed, and drug money. The narrative is direct and brutal, with a focus on costumes, a dystopian atmosphere, and stunning visual effects, particularly during extended slow-motion sequences. Special attention is given to depicting the effects of the slo-mo drug. The film combines influences from Western movies, featuring high noon shootouts, with elements of the future.
Felix Berner is a German filmmaker who specializes in producing FAN FILMS and is a passionate DREDD fan. He has a deep love for dystopian sci-fi films set in bleak, dark, and gritty futures, plagued by crime, brutality, and ruthlessness. It's a kind of addiction. Portraying these harsh, dangerous, and brutal futuristic worlds without embellishments or softness is always a pleasure for a filmmaker fascinated by tech and future noir movies. This film delves into repressed pain, anger, and aggression, delivering a brutal, raw, and intense experience. The project is crafted with a pure form of (visual) violence, devoid of flourishes, grace, softness, or false idyll. It embraces darkness and brutality.
For this project, we aimed to stay as true as possible to the original source material. Therefore, we made the decision to incorporate original props from the movie DREDD into our fan film. This includes 2 complete control officer costumes, screen-used belts, and Kay's (Wood Harris) flashback shirt.
We have collaborated closely with various prop makers from the DREDD fan community and can proudly assert that everything featured in the fan film is 100% screen accurate.
We pay meticulous attention to every detail. For example, we possess the authentic DREDD Boeker Knife and various replica stunt knives. In terms of visual effects and CGI, we strive to replicate the same look as seen in the movie.
"Dredd" is a 2012 science fiction action film directed by Pete Travis and written and produced by Alex Garland. It is based on the 2000 AD comic strip "Judge Dredd" and the character of the same name created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra. Karl Urban stars as Judge Dredd, a law enforcer granted the authority of judge, jury, and executioner in Mega-City One, a vast, dystopian metropolis situated in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Dredd and his apprentice partner, Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), are tasked with restoring order in a 200-storey high-rise block of flats and confronting its resident drug lord, Ma-Ma (Lena Headey).

Ganz ehrlich? Honestly? Who can claim that he has designed in a million-in...

A labour of love.
Judges need bigger chins. Dredd must have the biggest chin. LOL JK, I loved it.
[Pauses reading 2000ad to check this out...] Weapons, SFX and costumes were very impressive.
Tres bien. As a life long 2000AD fan this little episode embraces the ethos of the world of Judge Dredd well. More please.....
Corrupt and crypto-woke distortion of the world of classic 2000AD character Judge Dredd. Spiteful and unoriginal, it bored me. They don't understand the spirit of the original. It is not this.
THIS GOES HARD!!!!
20 yrs on titan for those judges.
Fantastic work, really enjoyed this film. Well done to everyone involved 😎
THX!!!!
Great movie😊
nmnmmbn
Amazing, bravo great job well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love it!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good job, thanks x
Incredible; having read "some" of the comics, seen the 1995 movie, and of course the 2012 movie - and meeting the crew at the comic con, including the publishers - this is a well done effort. I was blown away by the 2012 movie and the atmosphere and music. The slow-mo drug effect was a trip and seeing the judges here using them shows the corruption inside mega-city one. well done
Loved this! Well done!
Top notch fan film based on 2012 Dredd movie! All authentic and accurate props and costumes used in the production. Filmed in the same style, with music and CGI just in sync with the original film. A lot of hard work and dedication went into the creation and it shows!
"I can't see anything." is no doubt the best part of this classic.
I've watched your review. We did not use any footage from the original DREDD movie. Everything you see is created by my team!
Amazing. Would like to see more
BETTER AUDIO (NEW VERSION): ua-cam.com/video/i8ANZ-4Tgb4/v-deo.html
BRILLIANT!*
Unfortunately, just like the 2012 monstrosity, this is nothing like the Megacity One as portrayed in the comics. People really need to read these before making these films.
I agree
You're a dork.
**** I HATE THIS CITY!
Tremendous 🧐
Absolutely LOVED the BURNER Badge. This was an amazing production. Outstanding work. Hopefully one day my nigga Death can make it on the big screen.
Great job its nice to see fellow film makers doing Dredd fan films, we did a Dredd fan series called The Deep End a spin off of The Crused Edge. You guys did an OUTSTANDING job, hope to see more in the future 👏 🙌🏽
I know you and ur project :D... i am a proud member of the dredd group on Facebook
😍😍😍😍
ouch incoming
wtf who wrote and spoke this u kiddin me :D
loz
*THIS IS THE LAW* ‼️
YEAH :D
Superb 👌 😎 effort team.
Superb!!!!
The intro, set design, music, and costumes were great. However I felt the story was a bit lacking. It felt like you tried to do too much with too little time, but would love to see it expanded further in a future video.
you shouldve just make a cyberpunk fan film, because the judge dredd IP is not about this at all
The dialogue of him explaining the city was pretty annoying. "Mega city, mega buildings, mega crime, mega dicks, mega trash, mega filth, mega burgers, Mega turds, mega rats, mega millions, mega smegma, mega MEGAS!!"
that was cool :)
Damn, the judges sure are corrupt. Good job, nice blood spatter. The judges look good, but the armor really sucks.
THX - the armor is 100% screen accurate to the original DREDD movie from 2012 ;)
Wow, just incredible! Absolute spitze!
Really well done! Need to mic a bit better with less echo, perhaps explore different film stock, but man this was tight. The intro quality was spot on and got me hyped. Special effects, set design, and costuming was brilliant. You guys absolutely killed it.
Where was the echo too strong? In the intro?
I asked because I've added a light ECHO on the DREDD voice in the Intro and before the end credits lol ...
@@FelixBerner It was difficult to understand the dialog at certain points. It sounded like the mix was off or voices weren’t targeted properly, as if you were using a built-in microphone recording in an open air area. It wasn’t noticeable throughout, but easily picked up on in certain scenes. I don’t mean to sound picky or complaining. This was a great piece of film. Just wanted to let you know what I’m hearing as a viewer.
Thank you for ur fabulous feedback @@hermanturnip3984 I think i know the reason for that - a filter which shifted the sound a little bit, a few miliseconds - I changed it today and will upload the new version on vimeo by replacing the current video - sadly, youtube do not offer the video replace function - I will upload the corrected version in some weeks :)
@@hermanturnip3984 please check this version...is the echo still there? vimeo.com/manage/videos/835192967/
