I can appreciate this video on Manasseh and Ephraim and I thank you for it but like others who have made videos on this subject you have made the same mistakes they have made in believing Genesis 48 is about The Birthright. To say it is is a contradiction to what the Scriptures say. Firstly, Joshua 17 clearly says that Manasseh was the firstborn, and because of the Law of the birthright, Joshua explains why Manasseh was allowed two lots one on the east side of Jordan and one on the west side. Manasseh received a double portion because he was the firstborn and the birthright holder. The birthright had its privileges but also responsibilities. The holder was required to look after those who couldn't take care of themselves. Genesis 50: 23 says the children of the son of Manasseh were brought upon Joseph's knees. Jewish commentaries say, " Manasseh was his Father's, right-hand man". He probably lived with Joseph which would included his children. That would suggest he took care of Joseph in his old age. We also know that Manasseh was the "head "of Joseph as a tribe and Manasseh was a synonymous term for Joseph. ( Numbers 13: 11) Genesis 48 has nothing to do with a birthright. The Birthright was a given; it went to the firstborn and I would argue Jacob had no authority to give it to anyone it wasn't his to give; it belonged to Joseph. When Ruben lost his right of birth because of sleeping with Jacob's concubine. Jacob couldn't give it to just anyone it had to go to the next one in line. If a man had more than one wife, wife # 2 firstborn received the birthright, and Joseph was next in line. This chapter is about blessings. Blessings are given by choice and no law regulates them. We may earn a blessing but Birthrights follow instructions on who is to receive it. When Joseph objected to His father laying his right hand on the wrong boy and said not so my father for Manasseh is the firstborn. Jacob assures him he knows that. In essence what Jacob was saying when he said " I know it, my son I know it, was letting Joseph know the birthright was intact and his blessing had nothing to do with Manasseh's Birthright. Hears the real problem that has been generated by not doing good scholarships here in this 48th chapter of Genesis. And it hinges on a misrepresentation of one word or should I say two. These are, GREAT & GREATER. We think of them and use them as adjectives in describing something big, strong & mighty, beautiful, ( just to name a few). As a matter of fact, that's how the K J V and other translations use these two words Great & Greater but, only here in this 48th chapter and nowhere else is it used as a verb. I don't mean to be disrespectful or talk down to anyone but a verb is an action like you are growing up or increasing in size. This is what Jacob was saying what would become of the descendants of these two boys. Both would multiply. Manasseh would grow to become a large nation with many people. Ephraim would grow and increase unto an even larger number because he will be a company of nations. This is what Moses in Deuteronomy 33 said about Manasseh and Ephraim; Manasseh would have his thousands but Ephraim his Tens of thousands. If Moses is the writer of Genesis than he was definitely describing what Jacob said in chapter 48. It was because of the wrong choice of words by the translators that caused much confusion. Go back to verse 16 were Jacob said, " Let them " Grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. " The word " Grow" is from the same root word as Great. In verse 19 Jacob seperates the two boys into two nations. One wil have a large population the other a much larger one. Interesting Ephriam's name means, double fruitful. There is a lot to be said about this but i will leave it hear... Don't take my word for it check it out.

That's a great question, I'm glad you asked. Thank you! Why are you talking about Who Created God? We are supposed to be worshiping God. Instead of coming with concepts and ideas that might compromise our faith I received my 100-fold 22 years ago, and I am always loyal to the father Jehovah God. How about you? John 14:6 says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". This verse appears in the Bible during the Last Supper, when Jesus is speaking to his disciples. If we follow Jesus commandments will have a relationship with both the father and the son. Most Christian congregations don't have a relationship with God because they have rejected Jesus' New Commandments and The Lord's Prayer (they only worship the son, sports and holidays). And therefore, will not receive everlasting life. You see Jesus' rulership is for a very short time. We need to learn from Jesus' example here on earth and honor Jesus' commandments so we will have access to Jehovah God, who is the ruler of the universe forever. (that's what John14:6 means). People have lost focus of the big picture. The New Testament is just a record of Jesus' life hear on Earth, that's all. So, we need to follow Jesus commandments so we will have an opportunity to live forever. READ BELOW ↓ This is the first and greatest commandment. 1 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. 2 Love your neighbor as yourself. However Israel’s and Judah’s sins bringing about Siria overtaking the kingdom of the North and then dispersing them all over the world, as well as the kingdom of Judah overtaken by Babilon over worst sins, were omitted. Probably by lack of time. However I would love to hear a study coming from you about the dispensation leading to the 10 lost tribes of Israel. This is the other sheep Jesus spoke about in John 10:16. Are those the “ Christian of our times, referred as Ephraim in the Bible? Are those the ones that will be reunited with Judah as it is portrayed in the parable of the prodigal son?? Is “ the older brother, Judah? Are there 2 nations referred to in Ezikiel 37: 15-28, when God asked him to take 2 sticks and hold them together in his hand?? Was it fulfilled on the cross? What about Jeremiah 37:15-28. The prophecy of the new Covenant by blood ( fulfilled by the Messiah of Israel on the cross at Calvary)?
