Just another gear head with a passion for old cars and a real love for muscle cars specifically I enjoy working on them as much as I do driving them. This channel was created to share my passion with you and to introduce my many friends and their rides as we all have this same sickness called the car hobby.

Damn, I really hope mine isn’t exploded. Got to -30 for 2 days straight and power steering is fucked
Sorry to hear that is it leaking fluid or did the pump quit ?
stunning!
Where are you located and what would it cost i have a 84 that needs this but not that far gone
We are in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada, unfortunately the kit that was used is not longer available, the owner had purchased this part himself so there was not much fabrication required, it would be impossible to give you a quote without seeing the car first
You got that MF dialed in 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again! We appreciate this so much!
Thank you very much for inviting me back i really enjoy doing this with you and thank you for the GTG tee shirt , glad to hear it was another successful show
Thank you
I think I have the same problem or something close to it. My new rebuilt 350 has less than 1000 miles on it and it's already ticking. It started very quiet then went away then came back a little louder now it's unmistakable. The company that built it went out of business during covid so I'm stuck fixing it myself. So disappointed..
Sorry to hear you have been left with a issue, my problem was very unique but either way it's not difficult to find out what's going on by either removing the valve covers or intake manifold, this will answer any questions for you
@@garythegear I'd appreciate that. There’s a video on my profile of the valves after I adjusted the lash trying to fix the ticking. It sounded fine so I put it all back together and took it for a test ride where it would only knock under load. Now it ticks at idle so it's getting worse. I think it’s a lifter but I can’t pin down exactly where it’s coming from. The stethoscope sounds loudest from the top of the intake and not the valve cover. I'm mentally preparing myself to pull it all apart..
@jaseman32 yes need to at least remove the intake manifold to see if there's any damage , my engine does not have adjustable valves it's a totally different set up , you may simply have a lifter issue and not damage the cam
Thanks for the video Gary and showing others what this show has.
Thank you very much for watching 👀
Thanks for some new footage, Gary, indoor car season will soon be here …
Very cool Gary.. thanks for sharing.
Very neat. I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow.
Me also I gotta go back there was too much to see , thanks for watching bud I appreciate it 😀
Great video Gary thanks for sharing it!
Thank you for watching 👌
You said it - the throttle was hanging. Just pull over. Thanks for your concise dissertation on brakes and fluid.
Thank you for watching 👌
Such impressive builds!
I certainly like seeing the low rider stuff, it's a whole new level of custom with crazy detail like nothing else
THAT SUCKS BAD!
Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting. Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening. Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside. Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good. Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted? Ted Nelson, Customer: What's your point? Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times. Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box? Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me. Ted Nelson, Customer: Okay, I'll buy from you.
I had to read it a couple times however I get it now it's from the movie Tommy boy hahaha 😆
Lucas products are great. In fact Eaton recommends Lucas Oil with their Tru-Trac posi system and thats what I am using in my truck and remember you said u had Tru Trac ready to put in your Chevelle.
Good point Greg, and yes I'm also a fan of Lucas products they are one of the few that preform as advertised
If you get a replacement with poor crimps, or if you can't get a replacement, take it up the hydraulic shop and they will make a new one.
In most cases the hydrolic shops will make you a better quality hose as well thanks for sharing and watching
As you said at 0:19: “Man, I love winter.” And I mean it as sincerely as you do. Five and a half wasted months. Spare me.
Good info Gary. We used to sell Arctic Start that was manufactured in Munster SK. It dropped the pour point of oil and did not affect the viscosity. You needed to have 25% in the oil no more for it to work properly, and I can say it worked very well. It did not harm and fluid type , engine, power steering, transmission or hydraulic systems. Some customers wanted to put ATF in power steering systems and hydraulic systems but that oil has "friction modifiers" in it to help the clutch's which most customers don't know about and can be harmful and start premature wear of these systems. Most hydraulic power steering lines are made from hose that has a minimum burst pressure of 2 times the working pressure, I have seen the biggest failures at the crimp, and I bet you have also.. Thanks for sharing this important information.
Thank you very much for the information Mike I appreciate getting feedback from a hydrolic expert that's valuable info Thank you sir and thanks for watching also congrats on 1000 subs buddy 😀
@@garythegear Thanks Gary glad to share with you and tanks for the congrats....Cheers Mike
sounds like a healthy 1939 ford tractor to me
Working on my 68 sport coupe, don't have the original engine so it's getting saved with a date corect 396 canadian assembled engine.
Sounds very interesting I'm assuming this is also a Beaumont , if I could have only one today it would be a 68 Beaumont SD thanks for sharing 👍
Damn I thought that was hella rod knock, still gonna cost like 2 grand lol
Sounds like the tensioner on the timing belt 😂
Is a rod bearing
Just SEND IT, nothin more than a little lifter tick there Normy!
And I was led to believe that Subarus are immortal. “750,000 miles, Willard!”
Not this one! Don't know what kinda life it had
Please tell me more about the engine bay bracing that he has. 😮
He mentioned he purchased the aftermarket bracing under the hood but I don't have any more info on it , I will try and get him to answer some of the comments
@garythegear Very good, thanks 👍
Was a kit from XV Motorsports www.xvengineering.com Contained engine brace, lower rad support brace, inner fender brace and subframe connectors. Well made parts. Thanks Garry Frie
@garythegear Very good, thanks. I'll look it up. 👍

Yup the odd problem happens but well done for sure and a fantastic ride......Thanks for sharing.
I tested all my gear as soon as I realized there was an issue and it all works fine, i suspect there was a device in the garage that my have been the problem as it was creating a issue with my hearing aids as well, this was the only way I could salvage the video unfortunately 😔
Technical glitches happen, but you recovered Gary 👍
Thank you Blair, not sure what happened all my equipment is working properly ? The voice over was the only way i could salvage the video very frustrating
Paint and body fucking awesome. But not Ford. Buddy Kurt's 1969 Roadrunner convert sold to a good home, and that car is one of 4, well 3, the one with 4 spd was totalled.
Dyno up a C-note! Awesome! The understated treatment is so key. In athletics, personal relations, automotives, true class reveals itself in performance, not glitz. Nice car.
I very much like your choice of words well said thanks for watching bud 😀 👍
Gotta love that beautiful 66 Acadian Canso SD, definitely pure Canadian Muscle Eh 🇨🇦
Very beautiful 69 Plymouth Roadrunner
Thank you for the kind words bud I appreciate it 😀
@garythegear You're welcome brother
My 67 Malibu two door had bucket seats which hinged forward to access the back seat. However there was no vertical steel post separating the front and rear side windows, where as the the canuck "Beaumont" did . No mention of this glaring difference which (btw&imo), was the most noticeable way to identify the different country of manufacture... As well as reminded me of how fortunate i was to not have my Malibu with that feature. It was such a better look, especially with ALL the windows rolled down!
Not all Beaumonts were post cars ? Many Beaumonts were hard tops exactly like your malibu and exactly like the Beaumont in this video, it's a 2 door hard top , the bodies were the same when referring to the roof line? This is not a way to define the two
Well just when I was certain the age of being "All knowing" had been atttained... (of course the whole female thing NOT withstanding). Thank you for sharing the knowledge.
Thank you very much for watching I appreciate it
Hey Chris, great to see a familiar classic!!
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to you all....Thanks a ton for the shoot out !!!! 8 Sub's away now !!!!!!
That's awesome very close now, happy new year to you also Mike ☺️
I just listened to that! It was great, sorry I missed it. I was out in the garage building an engine for my son.
Hey that's a good place to be , happy new year to you Clay
@garythegear Same to you Gary!
Best to you Great channel!
Thank you and thanks for tuning in during the live stream and sharing i very much appreciate that 😀
Happy Birthday Warren from northern NY (60 miles south of Montreal) 🙂
Happy belated birthday Warren
Merry Christmas and happy new year Gary
Yea, they used to say, "buy American" but the companies force us to buy Chinese junk. I asked a guy at one of the parts stores if they had the part I needed made in America and he laughed at me!
Yes it's unfortunate not much that's actually made here anymore in fact a large percentage of the items marked made in USA aren't actually made here just a portion was assembled here
Don't get no betta
Very special car love the 66 glad I kept my 65 Canso that I bought in 72 and fortunate to get everything from GM back then for peanuts L79 super t10 Moroso 12 bolt 557 fat tire car love them owned many others but kept the 65 till death do us part
That sounds like an awesome Canadian car with all the right stuff thank you for sharing and for watching
Thank you, sir, for sharing your experience / discovery. Goodness, what a crass error! Wish you'd be able to send this video to that block's place of origin, it is actual and living proof of assembly malpractice. Hoping for some goodwill compensation, i.e., in good faith. Again, your disposition to let us GM fans learn from this blunder is much appreciated. 👍 Kudos to your expert eye pal as well.
Great video , and beautiful looking Acadian 👌
Another awesome video on another beautiful vehicle!!!!
Thank you Rachelle gotta love those Canadian cars Acadian and Beaumonts
@@garythegear oh so right. Love all those Canadian vehicles!!! ❤️
Thanks for sharing Chris, I've seen the car "around" but never knew who the owner was. Nicely engineered, I love the details. And keep the interviews coming Gary, I look forward to learning more about the local car communities "rides" and related stories each cold winter weekend! Merry Christmas to you both!
Thanks very much Blair, at some point we need to revisit your own special well engineered ride as it's undergone major transformation the last couple seasons that I find very interesting and exciting
@@garythegear That's kind of you to say Gary and I appreciate that, but unless my "ride" has chrome bumpers, a clutch pedal and raised white letter tires, I'm doubtful too many will find much interest in my late model ride, "hot-rodded" or not LOL 😜
@blairalderton2238 trust me there is lots of interest in all things that go fast
Nice one, well presented but you didn't show the trunk.😂
