Episode #179 Gerard Adams, entrepreneur, investor, and transformational coach
Welcome to the Modern Warrior Podcast! In this episode, I sit down with Gerard Adams, an entrepreneur, investor, and transformational coach who has navigated both massive success and deep personal challenges. Gerard shares his journey from early struggles and building multi-million-dollar companies to a profound inner transformation that redefined his understanding of success. We explore resilience, masculinity, personal healing, and the shift from chasing external validation to embodying true purpose. This episode is a deep dive into the mindset of a modern warrior and what it takes to live a life of fulfillment, leadership, and legacy.
Bullet Point Summary
Early Struggles and Resilience:
Gerard grew up in a hardworking immigrant family with strong values of perseverance and grit.
Faced bullying and a near-death experience as a child, which led him to join a gang at a young age.
Learned entrepreneurial skills from a young age without realizing it, turning adversity into opportunity.
Building and Selling Multi-Million Dollar Companies:
Built and sold multiple businesses, including a company he sold for $50 million before turning 30.
Despite financial success, he felt empty and disconnected, realizing that money and external achievements weren’t enough.
The Turning Point - Inner Transformation:
Faced deep depression after selling his company, questioning his purpose despite massive external success.
Discovered the concept of the "Three Mountains":
First Mountain - Chasing financial success and proving oneself.
Second Mountain - Seeking purpose and spiritual growth.
Third Mountain - Fully integrating success, spirituality, and masculinity into a balanced, fulfilled life.
Healing and Spiritual Awakening:
Explored plant medicine, including Bufo (5MEO-DMT), which triggered a profound personal transformation.
Realized the need to let go of external validation and integrate self-love and true leadership.
Shifted from a materialistic, hustle-driven mindset to a more heart-centered approach.
The Role of Masculinity in Today’s World:
Discusses the "War on Masculinity", including societal challenges men face today.
Stresses the importance of integrating the "Divine Masculine" - balancing strength, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
Advocates for men reconnecting with their hearts, leading with both compassion and conviction.
Breaking Generational Trauma and Building Legacy:
Emphasizes the responsibility of today’s men to heal generational trauma and set a new example for future generations.
Highlights the importance of fatherhood, integrity, and true leadership in shaping the next era of strong, purpose-driven men.
Final Takeaways:
Success without inner peace is meaningless-true fulfillment comes from self-awareness, healing, and purpose.
Every man must go on his own journey of transformation, integrating resilience, spirituality, and leadership.
Encourages men to step into their power, build community, and redefine what it means to be successful in the modern world.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone looking to go beyond external achievements and build a life of meaning, impact, and true masculinity.

She just wasn't made for him. Who got the money to eat? It's about team work. Women always have something behind there mind they hide from their man. A separation is a gift for those who can turn problems into opportunities.

So wait jou reached a safe country ie Germany, went through France and the UK, 2 more safe countries but kept going through all them to get to Ireland. Purely for the benefits system sure why else would you (your parents) leave safety. Irelands geography means anyone coming here illegally is purely economic.

13:34 Am I hearing this right - you will continue doing what you were was doing - even though it lost you, your wife, sounds odd - no regrets, 🤔no shame 🤔- why continuing doing the same thing that caused the break up? 🤔 What am I missing? Why even mention God - what does that have to do anything? It is between the couple that the problem/s need to be resolved. God does not intervene in wars that kill millions - you really think he is going to step in and help 2 individuals? What are you smoking? That said - it takes a lot to show vulnerability when the perceived norm is to Man up! So on that note - Good luck for the future. Thank you for uploading and sharing.

Think about it. What would be the point? She's already gone and she's never going to come back. Changing would not yield him what he wants which is to reconcile. From the sounds of it, he is clearly willing to do what's necessary to change if it means she would come back, but the fact that she never will means changes playlist. If I wasn't his shoes I would do the same thing

Great stuff. I think one thing irish men are missing and neglecting is the catholic faith. The church has a lot of great priests who can give men spiritual and practical direction. I think a lack of spiritual help is contributing to suicide and a feeling of not being good enough. These are all attacks from the devil. Irish men are losing the spiritual battle. So put on the armour of god lads.
