Wake up attacks won't save you but all you need for that is to press the kick buttons while on the ground. Left kick is a low, right kick is a mid, both is the springboard recovery kick. You can also hold forward for a short recovery kick

If you mean guest character then it's unlikely. Unless Harada lied to us, they spoke some time ago and said that they weren't focused on guest characters yet, hadn't even discussed what character it would be for their first guest character.
