Remember there are systems that harden fingers and hands like Kung fu called iron palm training but you’re correct . I prefer your last technique and the vertical palm claw thrust by Lee Morrison and the Pit dojo method. Bruce Lee could do it but who could be like him today

It’s an intimidation move a gamble if you like hoping the person being grabbed will indeed be intimidated It can easily be defended as you demonstrate here I don’t think anyone who seriously wants to harm someone would try the double shirt grab,it’s a very bad move

I think with deception its much more effective. Albeit risky. If you are being mugged reaching for your wallet and appearing passive and unthreatening. If you are going to be murdered simply ask him if you can have a hug first as a last request

Excellent analysis and realistic techniques. I know many grabbing and grappling arts that teach techniques that are unrealistic and dangerous from this attack.

Open hand with spread fingers in a clutching claw shape lands the best with little to no finger pain in my experiences, completely ineffective if they wear glasses but the real ones let you know their ready because the glasses immediately go into their pocket. 😂

So use the back finger slap instead of the spear? Obviously one will most likely have to set this technique up- maybe low stop kick to the knee? Trapping?😎

They work GREAT if you do them CORRECTLY--- do not POKE-- snap-- leave the fingers LOOSE and snap the hand close- it may contact them hard- may scrape- may scratch- but YES they are VERY effective.. anyone that tells you that they're NOT-- is fULL OF SHIT as a christmas goose and teaching BULLSHIT.. DON"T STIFFEN the fingers-- and don't give me that BULLSHIT about the eyes being hard to hit--that's a freakin CROCK.. IDIOT!!!! I have 40 years experience and it's NEVER been hard or ineffective-- NEVER.. YOU are just a damn fool and can't do it yoruself..

🇲🇦Both of your arms quickly go under his arms and come up from one side in circle over his arms twisting his hand grip , the power from the shoulders is used in this case overpowering any hand grip . 🔴🔴Use this in self defense only and avoid bullying any body 👍

I always wondering why most I know say keep self defense simple. Just do groin kicks or kick in knee or palm strikes . I kept asking for help with sparring which I can't even last five seconds. Or telling me kneeing. So many give this self defense advice. Like they never suggest boxing. Telling me keeps thing simple not make it complicated and telling me forget the sparring. It's impossible for me. But never see groin kicks in mma. So thinking why not be always recommended to anyone. Next saying mma is a sport. It's not self defense.

Oh yea by the way, you can use the elbow or knee instead of hands it’s way more powerful to land the knockout elbow or knee than fist. Manly because, the palm strike has likely chance of hitting the chin causing pain so if your doing palm strike do it under the chin because it also causes pain to the neck
