Firetrap is for sure the more popular one. I don't have enough experience on T2 to argue, which is better. I am simply a lightning traps enjoyer since old LOD days and wanted to get it done with that build.

dude i really want to make this season the first season i make a bosser with necro is there any chance you can get with me sometime and give me some advice as to how to make a good build. all the guides im finding for season 10 seem non existant when i search

That's a tough question to answer and all have their advantages/disadavantes. Good advice is to first focus on yourself, stick with a2 defiance merc and get your clearspeed right. After that you can think about the merc: If you get to certain point with your gear, A5 merc with procs on strike does the least for you as all is dead before the merc can even attack. So you want to have an aura bot/proc caster, basically. That being said, if you want to have the extra life layer, tired of swaps to prebuff, this merc could also work for u. Then I would follow the BO/templars/rapture route. (Aim for tyraels+frw slams on yourself then) If you have tyraels, 45frw shadow dancers - A2 merc with pride/templars is probably the best. I would go for defiance, since the pdr+extra defense is very useful in stacked T3 maps. Aim for 30+pdr at least. If you decide against tyraels and rather go for a big pdr 3os chest (as me), I think a1 vigor merc is better suited. The real challenge is to keep her alive. I went with ice for holy freeze + ceglaws gloves + blackhorn for slow target. The vigor alone gives you a lot mobility and dmg/sec. Templars might is just a bonus, it doesn't really do much for the psn tech in contrast to the full phys version, where templars is kind of mandatory. Still it is kinda good to have the little bit extra dmg if you can afford it. Other possibilities imo are (not tested much): A3 holy shock with exile for defiance (pdr, def), plague (high level lower res on struct), ferocity, innocence and static field (extra 15% of life of mobs) A4 amp (double curse) + mang (high level lower res). Not sure how to keep him alive, tho... Hope that helps a little bit. I think you go with all kind of mercs and be efficient in maps. The final choice is more about your preferred playstyle (and style points ofc :P)

@NvmR2323 thanks for the huge answer. I'm currently fully faceted Nats set with the A5 merc. Rolling mostly venom build. I tried the A1 but was annoyed with the dying. I want to zoom zoom but if you don't kill mobs on the first we through, the speed doesn't matter much. I think the A2 pride/templars might be play for biggest damage... But the again I won't have an amp proc for pesky phys immune... And here I am again undecided..

@@Jay7ona Sounds like a good plan. The venom tech should help you with phys immunes. If u encounter a phys+psn immune, I would just ignore it and go on with map.

It has +4 shadow disciplines skills. I use it for pre-buffing venom and burst of speed. Theoretically, a rare claw could be better, but it is hard to get one. Otherwise, shadow killer is used by mindblast builds, who need the skills + fcr.

Yes, I want the 40% melee splash radius increase of 3 charges of tiger strike. I haven't tested cobra charges that much. Do they give more than leech?

Thanks. Yesterday, I snatched an all res corruption with 47 total res, which is bis corruption on coa in my opinion. Res are most sought after and u need all gear sockets for jewels and run bos for full speed. Runner ups are +1 skill or attack rating.

Not with the nerf to max 3%. 3% LC + 3 um runes little bit less DMG and same res as Skiller + all res sc + facets. (Always depends on skill and mastery level ofc)

To add, if you can get res otherwise, LCs can be better, but then you might lose skills corrupt or facets slots

You need the chaos runeword incl. an ohm + eth war fist / other eth elite base. That will take I while. I would start as one as the known good starter builds (lightning/fire traps, blade sentinel or cobra strike) and then respec after I get my chaos. I will probably take the route of lightning traps farming in arcane sanctuary.

Thanks. Personally, I would do anything to farm the chaos first, which gives you the blade dance skill. This opens up everything. You can basically farm t1 maps with chaos + otherwise crap gear. From that, I will try to get full nat set, which synergizes well with whirlwind sin (all res + pdr, which allows you to use burst of speed instead fade). With chaos + nats, you are able to run t1s in 8-10 min range.

Not very good. Meph has 110 light res. Static field of stormlash reduces it to ~98, but you do hardly any damage. It works ofc with infinity merc. However, other build are better for ubers.
