Sorry, but that is not a good version of this song. Valdy did it much better back in the day. And, Ron never performed this song as slow as Valdy imitates. ( I wonder what possessed Valdy to mock the guy who wrote a song that he made money from. Just asking'.)
Think Valdy is/was referring to Christy Moore's version, not Ron Hyne's. Valdy also changes key whereas Hyne's did not.
