hi guys this is Becky with check with Beck. So today after cleaning the chicken coop I seen these little bugs and I didn’t know what they were. I have never had chicken mites and I have had chickens for two years. But with hurricane Milton, they had been locked up for, five days. I had only found them on one of my chickens, but I did find them inside when sifting through the bedding. I had bo...

Chicken Holder Bag tested and approved Today I got my chicken carrier bag in the mail. I bought this to use with my rooster when ever he goes to test me (which is not often, but hey worth a try right ? He is doing his job) I walked around with him under my arm and played 50’s music. As you see here in this video, I have a hen and her name is pretty girl and we are trying out the bag in the hous...

I love them under trees
Yellow bell, yellow elder?
After a while you can’t sleep without it. I miss my snoring beagle.
@@kbota97 this is a 3yr old English bull dog. This is the 1st night he has snored this deeply. It’s always been light.
BABY DINOSAURS❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why do you remind me of Sandra Bullock? 😂. Anyhow, thanks for the video.
That would be a good disguise to make videos of plants at Walmart on UA-cam!
I am in zone 7 and i have a plumbago in a container. It loves me and I love it! Question, how much should I cut it back when I get ready to bring it in? And what is the lowest temperature it can stand cause my garage gets pretty cold! I was just gonna bring it into the house for the whole winter season
This plant will freeze in temperatures below the low thirties, but its roots are hardy into the low twenty degrees Fahrenheit
Mine in the backyard has flowers and it's about three feet high however the one in our front yard is six foot tall and has no flowers. What could be the problem? Maybe a little too bit shade?
@@kennethpayne7547 That could be it. Try some fertilizer for shrubs.
Didn’t learn how to achieve a beautiful plumbago. ? Watering? Fertilizer? Etc. !
I would say live in a 7-9 zone. This plant will freeze in temperatures below the low thirties, but its roots are hardy into the low twenty degrees Fahrenheit. This will flourish in tropical warm settings. Watering until roots are established.
I'm confused. My plant has no sap coming out of it. 😐
I feel her pain. 😢 it's gotta be rough. Spend years building a life and it can be gone in a blink.
@@patriciaberry4630 Yep! I was here during Ian. Relocated farther inland here in Florida and still got Flooded. I live over an hour from the coast! 😱🤯
@beckymiller4441 Sorry to hear that. I could never live close to water. I almost drowned when I was younger. Took me years just to let pool water up to my chest. Enjoy it better now and swim a little. Still can't get my head wet. Part of that is having blue eyes. It is blinding. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks for your kind words.
Go back inside don’t come out again
@@KennethGalanius-ss3wn I work for the County. So you are on call if needed in Emergency situations.
I didn't hear a specific location. We are so sorry to see this damage. May God watch over you..
@@yvonneyoumans6464 This is in Naples Florida. South West Florida.
I have a asparagus fern. It's doing so good! She was root bound but I have her in a bigger pot now. She's very sensitive.
Foxtail ferns are not true ferns. But asparagus . They reproduce from seeds and not spores. Those are called shoots not fronds. 👍🏾👍🏾.
Really? Well I guess the big box stores will be suing the big growers Costa Farms & American Growers that supply every Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and other local small town nurseries across the country. Thank You! Do your due diligence before commenting ignorance
@@beckymiller4441 it's not a true fern. They are asparagus. They reproduce from seeds and not spores. It's okay to do a simple search on Google " are foxtail ferns true ferns?" before calling me ignorant. Thank you.
@@beckymiller4441 hello. They are not true fern even if called ferns. They are asparagus. And propagate from seeds not spores. A quick search on Google would confirm that. You don't have to call me ignorant.
@@beckymiller4441it's just not a true fern. What does it have to do with big box stores? And you just named me for no reason. Not because a pencil cactus is called a cactus that it is one. Not because Zamia are called palms that they are palms. Be open to learning. Why do you have to be so mean even if you disagree? A quick Google search could clarify your doubts before naming me like that. Be nice.
How do you feed it. I have a good amount of yellow leaves on mine
Hi Becky, can I transfer planted clusias (less than six months, almost 4 feet) to some where else on the same house? Thank you in advance.
As long as you dig up the complete root ball.
See how your smaller fern is not as plush? My large plant has very long fons but they aren’t plush. What am I doing wrong? TYIA
Why do people keep propagating this misnaming?... If it has flowers and berries it's NOT A FERN! Ferns have sori/sporangia/spores on the underside of their leaves.
Could a cat become itchy from being around this plant? My cat doesn't chew plants.. but has recently started scratching and I wonder if it's plant allergy
You can communicate very well and have a great personality, keep growing your channel. I just planted a lot of the 36 in total. I was looking to know if I have to water them every day. Thank you for your teaching.
This plant grows in full sun to full shade. I live in Houston Texas zone 9a. It’s soooooooo hot in here and we have these plants everywhere in sun and shade. I have mine both in full sun and full sun it actually doesn’t require any supplemental water from me like a rose shrub in the heat of the summer. Just try planting it in the sun because it gets bushier and cooler looking than in the shade . The tails parts become twisted and so full in full sun
❤
Living in Spain near Valencia, this is super invasive and everywhere 😱. Literally impossible to remove it. Soft when they are in wet seasons but as soon as they are older than 3 weeks.. that’s it.. so spiky that you basically can’t touch them with your bare hands. Didn’t know they are also toxic to my animals too.. I have decided to shave them as short as possible regularly ( even cut them with my scissors in the ground).
You did a great great job explaining everything. Can you do a video where you’re pruning a fern? That would be really helpful. I’m finding it hard to find a video that has that, and my fern is outside not in the house. Thank you!
That is a great idea to do for a video.
Mine still blooming in early fall . Can I prune after this time
Kill it with fire or it will take over your whole yard!
What’s a good fertilizer?
The foxtail fern is only mildly poisonous to both humans and pets. Swallowing small amounts will likely not cause symptoms. If your skin comes into contact with a foxtail fern, it may cause minor irritation from a compound known as sapogenin. It’s always a good idea to exercise caution and keep foxtail ferns out of reach of children and pets who may be prone to ingesting them. Are foxtail fern berries poisonous to humans? The foxtail fern berries are usually produced in the fall and winter seasons and may tempt both pets and humans with their sweet, candy-like smell. When eaten, the foxtail fern berry can cause a range of minor symptoms, including upset stomach and vomiting. The severity of these symptoms depends on the number of berries ingested and children and adults typically would not swallow enough to pose a serious problem. Pets are more adventurous when it comes to plants and their symptoms may be more severe.
@@SpaceTravel1776 The foxtail fern is harmful to both because not of being ingested. But how the sap and soft needles burrow through the skin. This is not a native plant to Florida and is invasive. Once its established it’s hard to kill
I have one in my yard. I’m learning more about the plant
Becky whats the best fertilizer for Clusia.
I live in south Florida so it is a pretty good hardy plant here for the drought and humidity. I would use a slow-release fertilizer 10-10-10
I just bought one! I sure hope it flourishes.❤❤❤ Mine has shed the blossoms but loaded with buds.
Should they be pruned late spring if they were planted in March?
So, have you had the time to check out Celestine Dessike and her ideas? Yes, making his fantasies in bed a reality can be fun, but even more empowering is the fact that you'll be able to have an out of body experience as well -- can't explain it, maybe try go'ogling her!
Presenter doesn't have the type of voice necessary to hold a viewer's attention. She uses too much repetition and speech fluff. I Watch for subject details, not entertainment. Also, know your scientific information. Ferns have fronds not fons.
I think she did a fabulous job and I appreciated her talking clearly and slowly for beginner gardeners like myself. there are so many Utube garden shows so find one that better suits you, but I would leave the negative comments out as it was rude. She’s trying to help people, your rude comment was disrespectful.
I have this plant just bought it yesterday I want it to blossom like that I bought the small one in a pot. What do you recommend to use for it to grow bigger
This does not have fruits
I live in the Pacific northwest and have a lot of deer. Will the deer eat them?
I'm in NW San Antonio, 8a, large plot under a tree, gets lots of western 🌞 but freezes to ground most years, is already grown up 3 ft as of 4/9/23 Very hardy here. Need to propagate soon as would love elsewhere in yard and neighbors want some too.
2020 the year when face masks became fashion earrings 😂😂😂 Thank you for the video.
I just learned new pruning time information that I did not know, and I just planted two new plants. Good to know. Gracias.
😮 iTouch mine all the time
I have a question. A neighbor had cut some of these down & tossed them out as trash. They were thrown on top of a bunch of small round tubers with roots. I assume these grew from those tubers they dug up?? I don't know how long they'd been on the street but hopefully not too long. I got a bunch of the tubers with roots & they're in a plastic bag right now. Will these ferns grow from these tubers if I plant them? And if so...I'd like to share with a friend but I won't see her for awhile. Will they be ok left in the plastic bag until I can give her some? For how long?? Should they be watered in the bag? I really don't know much about them or how to store the tubers. Any info would be great! Thanks!
You could consider putting the plant down while you talk. It's not a baby and you're not inline for customer service. Good info, thanks.
Any med benefits?
Plumbago is used extensively as a magical plant and for treating wounds, skin disorders, and headaches. Treats warts, black water fever, induce vomiting, reduce joint inflammation, properties to fight against cancerous cells, toothache. In short answer yes it has many things to help us with. It is a popular eco-garden plant that attracts birds and butterflies.
First time I've ever seen a video taken at Walmart!! Good job!
I had worked in the garden center in Walmart in two different regions one up north and one down in the South. I was able to educate myself on the vegetation that was sold at each store region. I was also able to know which region sold what kind of plant. I think this is easier for potential buyers to know where they can purchase that plant from. Not to say it was enjoyable to learn what each plant does for the environment animals in humans. I was also very surprised to know that some of the vegetation sold at Walmart is very poisonous to humans and animals and used regularly around Southwest Florida in landscaping. I truly believe that the landscapers are not educated to know what the difference is in these plants.
very nice
Thank you very much. I will be making videos soon of the invasive plants we have here in Southwest Florida. Most all invasive plants here in Florida are not native to the state of Florida but were brought to Florida from other States and countries. I was surprised to learn that some of these plants that are here that are invasive or harmful to both humans and animals
Hey my Norfolk branches are drooping.. The needles are fine so far... I mist it and water it but not soggy.. I also gave it some nutrients 2wks ago.. Why is my tree looks that way.. I'm concern
I don’t eat my plants

Yep, someone got me good. I knew for sure that me and my dog was a morning snack at this point. What I don't know it how to outrun one of those in an open field with uprooted trees. My heart was beating faster as I got close, but I really thought it might be from Naples Zoo that got displaced from hurricane Ian. I Come to find out it was plush. Where are those prank guys at!!! No really, this had floated from someplace to here. Times are uneasy here in SWFL right now. I am a bit shook up.
