When the blade is in contact with the work piece, it isn't ringing or vibrating. Only when it's finished cutting. I'm not really buying the 'tapping on the side' of a blade that isn't mounted, as proof of anything. Have you got anything more convincing, like measuring noise levels on different machines?
By tapping we can already know the different
