Quarter Scale Racing 101 taking tire temps at the track
I see that you haven’t posted in quite a long time but I want to thank you for these videos. They are such a help for me getting into quarter scale racing.
Where is this??? Anyone know???
The facility is abandoned… visited a week ago. It must have been awesome when it was in operation. I don’t care what style or scale. I would gear up to run there if it were re-opened.
Where is it at
Where is it???
Does anyone make a quarter scale supermodified?
Does anyone make supermodifieds in quarter scale or is it just stock, sprint and late model?
Hi, I have a very old (mid 90's?) chassis which I believe to be a Lightning. Wondering how you keep the belt from slipping off?? Also needs some parts (brakes etc), are they still available? Cheers
Do you have a video on how to set the sway bar?
Top irmão 🏎🔥💥💨😎😍👍🏻💪🏼
Thanks for putting together this explanation. We don’t get oval racing here in the UK whether full scale or RC (as fas as I know) so this really is interesting for folks like me. Couple of questions I have is, do you have a selection of tyres or is it fixed? E.g in RC we sort of replicate what the full scale guys do - so varying degrees of tyre compound, a set of wets etc etc Also, how much does your car adjustability vary - on Oval tracks I can’t imagine there been too much changes being made aside from the bigger circuits compared to the shorter tighter tracks? Either way this is a brilliant vid. Cheers from across the pond mate 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇱🇰😎👍
Yet another one who knows nothing about it and shows videos!!Sorry but you are completely wrong. You adjust the needle in the barrel like low speed adjustement LOL The screw of lo speed is this one with flat head screwdriver and its verry important to adjust low speed first Read attentively!! like HPI and tyant others with the adjustment of these carburettors FOR GASOLINE. HPI, like all other manufacturers of vehicles and engines that run on nitro, say exactly the same way to adjust the carburetion of a gasoline engine as one on nitro, which is TOTALLY FALSE. This type of carburettor, whether branded, Zama, Walbro, tillotson, etc., if they have a throttle valve, all fit exactly like a chainsaw. The low speed screw Lo=low speed. the hi=high speed screw. These are 2 circuits that supply the motor but be aware that from the quarter throttle open to wide open the 2 circuits add up. I explain to you as a master mechanic with more than 45 years of experience in the field. I am certified, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha Bombardier, Johnsered Stihl etc. I explain how to adjust your carburetor to perfection!!! start your engine and let it warm up to normal operating temperature for about 3-4 minutes. Let your engine idle because it is absolutely necessary to start by adjusting the LO screw in this way. What is needed is to find the rev peak by turning the lo screw very very slowly (to allow time for the motor to react) either clockwise or counter clockwise. clockwise and the regime will change. By turning the screw in one direction or the other find the point where the rpm will be the highest (always turn the screw lo and if the rpm is too high for idle, lower it to normal rpm with the throttle screw) and once the speed peak has been found, enrich (anti-clockwise) a quarter turn. For high revs do the same but be careful play quickly with the top screw because at high revs the engine reacts very quickly and leaving it too lean at high revs could damage it. Once you find the maximum RPM, add a quarter turn as you did for the low screw. If you listen to my advice, no one on this planet can do better than you. Ask any good chainsaw mechanic and they'll tell you I'm 200% right. I repeat the reason for starting with the lo speed screw is that at full speed the 2 circuits provide the total mixture then once the hi speed has been set if the person subsequently readjusts the lo speed by getting poorer (clock wise ) the total mixture WILL BE DECREASED. After a tank check the color of your spark plug spark plug best color is medium brown. The spark plug talk by by its color
Those cars drove like there hadn't been worked on since 1940..
do you just race ovals? the 1/12 on road cars have essentially almost no suspension, and go karts have none, i'm building a custom 1/4 scale car and plan to make it solid like a go kart, use go kart tires, not gonna work?
Is this the Boulder track? Awesome track
Does anyone know where to get tires for it i have 1 of my own
Wow, 💯 pure fun, & the cars are badass!
Are the 1/8 springs a larger diameter than TNT
Thanks 👌👌💯
Who makes these bodies. I have the modified body, Im looking to get the Hot Rod style body.
I was there

Do you run mudboss and thunder truck???
Pretty badass they are all on the same lap
Kool Video!!!
How much dose one these cost
I wish there were a place to race those close to me. HUGE dirt oval fan...this would be sooooo much fun!
A lot of fairgrounds and amusement parks have go-kart tracks. That's where we raced in the 80s and early 90s.
Very cool car! You would like to see my homemade 1/5 49cc RC buggy!
I have 5th scale rovan bm5 truck. Awesome setup.
What the price
I’ve been watching UA-cam vids for some time and I have to tell you this is awesome!!! Great to see something so different!👍👍Awesome
Good vid :) I have an old stock car chassis. think it's a Lighning, but have issues with the belt coming off. How do you keep the belt on with camber and suspension changes??
Great video, very entertaining
I feel for 23 he wanted to finish so bad. If I lived anywhere near there would have been 5 cars but Florida is a little to far. What a track, I love oval racing.
Awesome
I love how the racing line has formed onto the track..
What chassis is under those bodies
streched out HPI 5B or clones
@@quarterscaleracing1019 are those Ronshop bodies out of Pennsylvania
@@bluegroovemodelsports9650 no these are made by a guy named Rob Valentine in Vegas
Cool fun racing
Beautiful thing to watch!
No driving skills at all.
Where do u buy these
qsac.org , there is a list of the manufactures , they sell direct
ebay
Je veux une
Blue car is fastest but worst driver. I used to race pan oval with a rich dude that had the best parts and could lap field 10 times if he didn’t wreck and break on first lap.
Lol they have terrible handling and I bet they're a blast to drive!
What diameter and wall thickness tubing is used to build the sprint car chassis?
chromoly .500 and .375 dia x .065"
What track is this?
Boulder City RC Speedway , Boulder City Nevada Home of the world famous Hoover Dam only 30 mins from the Las Vegas Strip
@@quarterscaleracing1019 i had a feeling it was boulder city
I wanna see Talladega nights, you need higher banking all the way round hehe ;-)
How much to put a car on the track?
I bet if they teched everyone at the races engines, they would find that everyone has something cheated lol, that's how it goes with real circle track racing as well
Where can I buy a new Quarter Scale Lexan Truck body for a PRO1 chassis?

Where is a good spot in BC to RC, like with my kids and our slashes and rustler ? Nice track
Silverbowl park in Las Vegas has a public track
