This is one of the ugliest conference realignments I’ve seen. Rivalries are barely preserved. Regional identity is loose. For example, Georgia is no longer with the other deep south schools that it has historic rivalries with like Auburn or Florida. The schools are horribly unbalanced-not just based on historic success, also based on size of the school and program. Ohio State’s conference has absolutely no competition (outside maybe WVU and UVA). Whereas a team like UTEP has a bloodbath of all of the Power Texas schools. Also, the PAC-12 is the “Pacific Athletic Conference”, not the “Pacific Atlantic Conference”. An interesting thought experiment, but there’s no chance this system would work logistically.

pac does not stand for pacific atlantic conference its just short for pacific. it would be a bit weird if the conference on the west coast had atlantic in its name. Also it should be furthest west, mountain west is called that because it's in the MOUNTAINS, specifically the rockies, the heart of which are in utah, colorado, and wyoming so those schools should all be in the mountain west. Meanwhile the pac 12 is called that because it's on the coast of the pacific - the ocean on the west of the us. So they should be on the west coast

The thing with the conference is there is only 1 to 3 good teams in there.

Mine is based on geo too except if you are less than 3 stars you get relegated to G5 and depending on the amount of 1 stars in any given G5 they end up as independent until they bounce back to 2 stars

I would flip flop the Mountain West and PAC 12 conferences and I think it would be perfect.

I didn’t like the Broncos new ones at first but I think they nailed it. Their throwbacks are one of the best in the NFL too. The numbers are our classic 90s font and are properly outlined so You can see the numbers now.

I do it differently and it works better for rivalry and geography: Off the top of my head, I arrange my something like this: PAC12: All west coast teams + Hawaii MW: Boise State, Nevada, UNLV, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Utah State, BYU, Wyoming, Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico, NMSU, UTEP Big 10: Northern Mid (Mich, Mich St, Notre Dame, Iowa, Iowa St, Minn, Minnesota, Purdue, Nebraska, Ohio St Big 12: Southern Mid (Texas, Texas Tech, Tex A&M, TCU, OK, Ok St., Tulsa, Arkansas, Arkansas St. Kansas, Kansas St., Mizzou Sun Belt: Southern States (LA, MS, AL, GA, FL) CUSA: Mid-Northeast (Smaller Schools) JMU, Liberty, ODU, etc. American: Southern /Texas teams (Smaller Schools) Texas St, N. Texas, SMU, etc. SEC: Flordida, FL St., Miami, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, GA Tech, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Clemson, South Carolina, Tenn, Vandy ACC: NC, NC St., Coastal Car, East Car, Penn St, Pitt, WVU, Virginia, Virg Tech, Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College MAC: Rust Belt teams (OH, KY, MI, IL, IN, etc) Independent: Army, Air Force, Navy (You can add 1-2 star teams to this as well if they really don't fit well in any conference and don't have good close proximity rivalries) It's a good balanced realignment that still keeps a lot of rivalries in the same conference.

The mountains in the west geographically is literally where you have the pac 12 you have that switched

Great video but you gotta change a couple of the conferences around. Like shouldn’t the pac12 be on the Pacific and the mountain west be in the Rocky Mountains. And the MAC is basically the Ohio conference anyway, and the Big 12 with Texas. Like the geographical divisions were great but the conferences have to make some kind of sense.

I did mostly the same but I put the conferences where they generally are. Big 12 for Instance is the texas conference.

I put UTEP in the MWC to keep the Big XII (Texas) at 12 teams. I also put all Florida & Georgia teams in the SBC with the divisions being Orange Belt & Peach Belt. My MAC has the schools from Michigan, Ohio & Kentucky.
