I would never send any firefighters inside a structure that is burning that intensely. Not even if anyone said there were people inside, because at that stage, anyone inside is already gone. Its not worth risking any more lives.

Bottom line, that FD sucks real hard!!!

Tanker taskforce training much?? One portable pond and 2 tankers shown for this fire load and they wonder why they lost the exposure? You need a minimum 2 ponds and steady tanker line to flow the master or you run that 2k gallon tanker dry in minutes. And they ask why I left PA fire depts. Not all are bad but with this fire load and no water it should have gone to a 2nd alarm on arrival.

The house was fully involved when the video started, why waste what little available water on it and not protect the B side on the exposure? Then the exposure house gets going and they waste more water on a deck gun without sufficient pressure. Why not let the original fire bldg just burn to the ground? There was nothing to save and by letting it stand they created another hazard. Yes they are volunteers but that doesn’t excuse the obvious lack of leadership.

Why only 1 drop tank and not 2 or even 3????? I work at an airport fire dept but I’m also at a rural volunteer and we would have had 3 tanks dropped and would have had continuous water….

for sure a operational issue in the command system on this call ! hope they figure it out and improve for next customer !

Description said no hydrants available so was a difficult situation.

Great planning boys! All that fire and nobody thought to bring the water. This is utterly ridiculous. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS PERFORMANCE! The USA work ethic is and always has been, in the toilet.

Guys certainly noble being a volunteer but you owe it to yourselves and the community you serve to train an educate yourselves for every type of fire you may experience, PPE and training should always be priority number 1. Less time filming more time training. Stay safe.

That whole row of houses along 203-213 South 7th Street were all abandoned because owners fell behind in their taxes and as a result they ended becoming uninhabitable and a haven for squatters and druggies. National Guard had to board all the places up a few years back to keep people oit because they were too dangerous. That obviously worked well because they all burned down. Similar story further along S7th. Another urban blight caused by capitalist ghettos!

This is almost painful to watch. A leaf blower would have been number 1 here. Seen several hundred ft. Of 1" forestry line in the beginning of the video. Yet nobody deploys it 😂

I could not watch. the jerky video caused by putting the camera atop a helmet made me dizzy. the guy wearing it was constantly twisting and turning. felt like being inside a salt shaker at times. my comment is intended to be constructive, to give you a viewers perspective.

The nozzle person should imagine that they have to pay $5 for every gallon of water the use. This will make them think about what is burning and where it is and surgically apply just enough water through the windows to soak the contents of the room until an interior crew can mop up. Endless squirting puts the FFer's mind to sleep as the fire extends in other areas.

Great capture. Ladder Pipes are archaic...Tower Ladders (Buckets) are the state of the art in aerial platforms.

Hopefully there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, it's sad 😢to see a old firehouse burn, I respond to one and some of the older firefighters remember being in that firehouse. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
