This is a beautiful solo by Tom Harrell over his own composition "Sail Away". It's a great melancholic Bossa and Tom really plays his heart out on this one. Best listened to with headphones, even though I recorded it only with my phone!

why are the B flat instruments written in concert pitch makes no sense

Hey man. I can't figure out how to make these on IMovie, but I want to complete my first transcription video. And help or tips you can provide with the creation of a transcription video would be very much appreciated. Also, what platform do you use to write down the sheet music? Thanks!!!
Hi Eli, I use Sibelius as a notation software. If the transcription is finished I usually take screenshots of a few bars at a time and so I end up with let’s say 6-10 photos. These can be imported into iMovie. Then you also need to add the audio to iMovie. Once you have that you need to place the screenshots in the right order and for the right duration. That’s basically it, hope it helps! Cheers!

Thanks for the transcription! And for the song which I had some many years ago on another live recording by Chet where he introduced himself the song by explaining that its strange title meant in fact 'Ding!' backwards.

Hi Marrio! I don´t remember exactly, but I'd say 2-3 days / practice sessions. I´ve known the solo for a long time though beforehand and was able to sing along. I then just had to figure it out on the horn etc..
