panthers extended chuba and spent a 2nd round draft pick on johnathon brooks

If it was anyone but will johnson who i think is a top 5 talent in this draft. I wouldn't have been happy with a CB pick in the 1st 2 rounds lol. I said it last year about not needing a CB high and i stand by that this year. But Johnson is a different breed than the rest in this draft. You don't turn down top 5 talent when they fall to you. Now with that said something yall brought up i really hope we don't do. We better not bring back Justin Simmons that man was as bad if not worse than Richie Grant out there this year. He was leaving the CB's out to dry way to many times when help was needed. With Grant and Simmons out there it might as well have been 2 trash cans on the field because that was straight garbage at SS :D For me if any of Carter, Walker, Pearce JR, Green, Starks, and maybe williams falls to us im taking them everytime. Johnson i don't actually believe will fall to us but if we luck into it i would add him to the list as well but he would be the only CB i would add to it. A few guys i don't want us to target in round 1 is Nolan, Scourton, and Stewart. We already got alot of young talent that fits their mold over the last year or 2 and that just adds more of a log jam and no playing time at those positions instead of getting players we can actually use and have much bigger needs at in 3/4 lb/Edge (green, Pearce JR, Williams) SS - Starks, watts, Winston JR in round 2), or LB Walker + Campbell. Really wouldn't mind looking at Princely in round 2 either at Edge i like what he brings to the table. Will Johnson + either Walker, Williams or Princley and thats some good talent. But i wouldn't revert that and go CB in round 2 if we don't go johnson in round 1. I would go 3/4 edge round 1 SS or LB round 2.
