You can use same procedure but change a few things using reasonable relativities. Let's say instead of the 10, 17 and 28 for the arm depth, shoulder to waist and suit length, you can do 6.5, 12 and 21 and instead of the 6 inches we subtract from the waist, chest and hip measurement, you can deduct 5 and when doing the side panel, you'll mark 5 instead of the 6 you see in this video. These and a few changes will make it ok

Regular shirts have front and back patterns and so the measurements is usually divided between the front and back patterns. But in a suit, there's a side panel added to make it 3 pieces. So the 6 inches deducted is used for the side panel. If you study the drafting of the side panel very well, you'll understand it better sir 🙏🏽 🥰. Thanks for the feedback too

I did not talk about reducing or increasing the waist to hip measurement. Instead it is the waist circumference that is reduced by 2 inches to taper in the waist

The 2 inches is taken from the waist circumference and not the waist to hip measurement. Hope this clarifies it, sir?

Bear in mind that whatever is deducted from the measurements at that point in time is used to draft the side panel of the suit

It's because suit doesn't have only front and back pattern but has a side pattern too so the measurements must be distributed among all the 3 patterns, that's why you see the subtractions and stuff

But still I did not understand how u manipulate the difference from the pattern, did u achieve that by the shoulder dart. Thanks in advance sir

For the waistband I usually go for the extra hard gumstay, I don't know if that's how you call it in Nigeria 🇳🇬. Woven tricot is also another option especially if you want the waistband to feel soft 🥰
