Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean really achieved PERFECTION in many of their exhibitions. They were very creative and managed to synchronize their movements immensely. Wonderfull to watch them, as they are always surprising us with very bold and original dance movements.

Now they have been skating together almost 50 years!

This is wonderful to hear. I also adopted in my forties as a single person....and it has been a wonderful experience for us both. A huge shout out to local social services departments who always get such a bad rap when things go wrong....but do so much wonderful good stuff most of the rest of the time that people don't hear about. My team also made a perfect match for me and my daughter.....she came to live with me at 4 years old and is now a fabulous 20 year old at uni. Xxx

Jayne Torville and Christopher Dean are the most beautiful and lyrical ice dancers I have ever watched in my eight decades of life. Their Olympic routine, Bolero, is still the absolutely stunning manifestation of their perfection. I watch their videos over and over and am always mesmerized.

She was 56 and he was 55. Amazing that they could skate a program that they did 30 years earlier!

Was lucky enough to see Torvill and Deane skate here , just after the olympics , Tremendously tallented , however i prefer to watch on television or on line, you dont hear the noise of skates on the ice

This number was a watershed moment in their lives and in their sport. This was the last time they would perform it for a live audience. My heart would have been in my throat. I'm glad they throttled back a little on the more strenuous bits. That is one of the things I've always loved about them. They never took silly risks with each other just for the sake of a flashy move. Instead, they focused on precision, inventing combinations and transitions, never awkward, forever new, seamless, and beautiful.

You are fabulous. No matter what. Jayne you were meant to be mom to kids who definitely needed your special mom hood. Chris it is just patenty obvious that jayne is number 1 . I have been watching you both for 40 ish years. And you needed each other even with other partners. ❤ love is ...c and j Chris s kids are blessed too.
