I love white tea but after 3 months I’m starting to not be as excited for the next month. But I do still love them.

I love The Essence of Tea subscription! Little bit more, and I only had 3 months so far, but loving it!

I find pests hate camphor oil. I put drops of camphor oil in water and spray my plants with it.

I hate scale insects. They’re hard to get rid of, produce a lot of sticky stuff. I had to throw one plant away because of scale.

I actually like the light version. Haven’t had the heavy yet. I was kind of expecting a letdown but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m happy to get more white tea I guess but was hoping for a bit more variety from last month.

It was also a lot less than expected. I’ll have to take time to try these!

Green Hype hits out of the ballpark for me. The black tea was a joy too. Loved the upfront peppery moving into warm spices. This was a great month. Haven’t been disappointed yet with sub boxes.

Did you get that gaiwan from Amazon? If so, we have twin gaiwans!

A suggestion I'd like to pass on as you try a similar tea in the future when employing the gaiwan or pot. I had wonderful success with the following infusion times: 190°F 7gms/140ml - rinse - 15,10,10,15,15,20,25,30,35,40,50,60 200F 1:10,1:20,1:45,3:00. The yield was 1.75 liters of complex sweet pu-erh without being over astringent. I'm pretty sure you can achieve the same weight and results in your 120ml pot. I often use similar timings for pu-erh and old leaf white tea of ten years old or less, though I mostly need to use a gaiwan due to the large leaf size. Enjoying your posts!
