This is a Music channel featuring both original and cover tunes. On most of my original songs I played and sang all parts.
There will also be music from different bands that I had the joy of performing with through the years.
A big thank you goes out to all of the performers and producers who have given me so much joy and inspiration. You can also hear my original music at www.reverbnation.com/georgewilliams

The Gospel Singing Williams Family on The Charlotte Peters Show
Переглядів 101День тому
Charlotte Peters had a long running show (1956-1970) in St. Louis Mo. KSD-TV 1956-1964, and then on KTVI until the last show July 10 1970. With guests like Bob Hope, Alfred Hitchcock, Eddie Fisher, and at one of our appearances, The Amazing Kreskin! She was so funny! We loved watching her, and being on her show was amazing. We were on Feb 7 1968, and again on May 1 1968.

In 2010 I started taking songs from The Rockabilly Rebels CD "Rocking Through Time" and adding things like rhythm guitar and keyboards and vocals to them. Uncle Smiley was a four piece at that time. I left out the best parts for the sampler. You will have to listen to the whole CD to hear my piano on Runaway, or Ross's Guitar solo on Jenny Jenny, or Dave singing Take On Me, or Ross sing lead on...

This was recorded in 1975. I saw after posting the video that it was very soft. I used some noise reduction and compression, and hope this is easier to hear. Please let me know.

For most people, when they think of The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, Are they thinking about meeting their true loves? Are they thinking about the Shining? For Rick, it was true love. When we met, everyone called her Fly!

At this point I was 16. The picture is the one that is probably closest to our ages during the time of the show. We were getting older. And one of the songs we did and dedicated for all the Razorbacks was "I'm a Hog for You b Baby!"

What other club could make Monday nights the biggest party night of the week? The Circle Tavern in Brigantine, New Jersey! We played from midnight to Four, so that casino bands and workers could come and party when they got off work. The best Monday night gigs in my life! Thanks Jimmy!
A Night with John and Paul with Scot Arch and George Williams
Переглядів 1,4 тис.28 днів тому
Hi, this is George Williams. The first band that I joined when I moved to Pennsylvania was Scot's band Panik. The band played 2 sets of Beatle music and 2 with our girl singer Bonnie. In those sets we did Heart, Bowie, Billy Idol and things like that. I got to play 2 sets right-handed and 2 left-handed! So, before switching to doing George Harrison in Beatlemania Now , here I am doing Paul! Ful...

Scot as John-George as Paul- performing with tracks that George recorded. I, George was very nervous. This was the first time my tracks were ever used. I didn't know how it would go. The soundman kept turning Scot's guitar up and down and maybe just up on his keys and I couldn't hear the bass and then all of a sudden he turns it up. On top of all of that, I hadn't played left-handed for a while...

Charlotte Peters!? Do you know how old you have to be to even know who she even was? My mother went downtown at least twice to be in her audience, at least once at old Pevely Dairy. And, that['s how old I am! The story as I remember it was that she got gig by answering classified adv in Sr Louis Post-Dispatch.
I just recently read that. She answered an add and stayed on the air for years! She was so funny. She might put on a tutu and dance around waving a wand and doing a little dance! By the way, I am 68 now.
Excellent, boys!
It's great because a Betz is involved!
Covers are great and band is tight. Great job!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!
😊
These are some of my favorite Williams Family recordings. After posting this I realized how soft it is. Today I am going back and try to boost the track.
Loved this. Had never heard it before!
Fun great band! Lived in Brig in mid 80’s and pumped gas all summer. Spent many nights, days and next mornings in the Circle. I was most likely there this night. Partied with Band sometimes during break then came up to play wipeout on the drum on stage haha! Good times!
I love seeing your comment. Someone who experienced The Circle Tavern! I loved playing and partying there. A little drinking, a little smoking, and a lot of fun!!
@@georgewilliams4316 thanks good times! You guys were so much fun!
George, which one are you?
I am the one with the worst teeth! I am standing in the middle at first and then playing the bass.
Just as I remembered!
they're just here to remind us of the genius of the original.
get rid of backing tapes...form a Beatles band..and your half way there! - :)
I invite you to watch some Beatlemania Now videos that I have posted. Scot doing John, I am doing George in that band. You can see Scot and I playing these parts live.
Yep.Very distracting.
George and Ringo thank you (profusely) for not including them. The "crowd" appeared to be underwhelmed.
dont give up your day jobs
Lovely!
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
You look like Steve here. Wow.
What a great arrangement of a great song.
It is a great song, I agree, so thank you great song writer!!!
Beautiful voice George. Love this song. You really do it justice
Thank you very much! I have always loved this song too. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to sing this at St. Peters. Merry Christmas!
Beautiful George. this should be a big hit for time of year. I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Michele! Merry Christmas to you!
Here's To All of you who have watched this video!
Thank you my love!
Wow fantastic! I look forward to your album!
Thank you so much!
George, this song is great!
Thanks Jack!
Beautiful! Great job George ❤️
I loved that I had enough interesting shots that, to me, give the video a bit of a Christmas card or Impressionistic painting vibe. Does it give you any feeling of a village full of happy people?
@@georgewilliams4316 yes! It is really beautiful and made me smile 😊
Sounds great and a beautiful video. Merry Christmas to you and Michele too George.
Merry Christmas to you too!! I'm happy you like it. I hope you read my comment to my brother Rick. Merry Christmas Jim!
Fabulous Fungi ! This Magical Mushroom really cooks!

WOW!
I am so glad you liked it!
Love this arrangement! Great job George!!!!
Thanks Rick. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
@@georgewilliams4316 You should be! It is perfect. Your singing was great and the orchestra was fabulous!!!
@@rickwilliams4870 Hey, an early Happy Birthday! I just entered the International Songwriting contest with a Christmas song that I wrote. (I obviously can't claim this.) I entered 10 songs. It would be nice if "Christmas With You" was played on the radio this Christmas!
@@georgewilliams4316 Yes it would!!!
Are you naturally left handed?
No, I'm right handed, but I was determined to play Paul left handed if I could. By the way, the first song that I could play was "All My Loving".
@@georgewilliams4316 Nice! I'm a righty too and been playing left handed bass for 10 years and counting and performed in a beatles tribute band for 5 years now.
Great song! Great video!
Thank you Teddy. I'm glad you liked it!
cool!
This is a song that my band Legend also did, that was also on the tape I got transferred.
Reality Is Memories Unforgotten Dream Peace and Love The Talismen
It always makes me smile when I see a comment from you
Nice Guitar Leads!
I have had the audio from this show on my computer for years, long before getting these tapes transferred, and I thought the same thing. I felt that I did a pretty good job considering the fact that I'm not a guitar player, I'm a bass player.!
Pick it Wilson!
HAHAHA! That's the only picture I have of us from the night my Beatle band opened for him in New York. (well, the rest of the band were in there too, but they didn't fit in this video)
Fab! It feels so right!
Does it give a bit of a Beatle vibe to you?
Richard and Karen revisited!
I just saw an article that told me (with videos included) That 4 others recorded this first. Richard Chamberlin, then Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, and Herb Albert. None of the arrangements felt right. They give credit to Richard for getting it just right, and how he insisted that Karens voice be way up front to make it intimate!
Praise God!
My family started out singing gospel music in 1964. I have written a few myself (like this one). I love that old rocking quartet thing!
Nice harmonies!
Thanks Rick. Dave and I got pretty good at harmonizing.
I could listen to you play all day.
Oh, I don't know about that. I get pretty tired of hearing myself sometimes!
Love all the songs. You and Dave's voices blend well together. Glad you are putting all your music on UA-cam so that other people could enjoy your music.
I loved singing with Dave, both in the duo and the band. I need to post some band songs too!
Sounds 👍
Thank you Rick. I enjoyed listening to you with Grass Transit yesterday!
An educational song about a medical condition - excellent!
I am so glad you liked it professor!
Sounds great! It is amazing they found five guys that looked so similar!
Oh yes! They are The Georges. Kind of like the Mills Brothers, only these guys are identical quintuplets, and their parents named them all George!
Faaaaab!
I really had fun doing this song!
Great song and piano!
Thank you! I thought it was time to put one of my Country songs on.
Unbelievable....
Hi George! We sounded pretty good, didn't we? You and I doing a duet!! Fun times!
So good!
Thank you Rick! I think I had Ian Anderson in my head when I wrote this!
George Williams I think so too!
Just wanted to add my two cents worth Fab!!
Coming from one as groovy as you means so much!!
Now that was Something!
Did you like it? Thanks!
Here's to you my friend!
And right back at you! Rick has been talking to me about the long didtance recording that he has been doing. I would like to figure that out so we could collaborate sometime. Your music always makes me smile!
