So it's not just Goans. Wherever unruly coarse Indian tourists go, there is a local reaction - abroad as well ... (Maybe a lot of Bollywood created image about Goa has actually manifested the current negative reality). Going to Lakshadweep one needs a permit... why not introduce the same for Goa , also to protect the environment ....

I'm Goan and have lived in Toronto, Canada for half my life, but the simple life in Goa is absolutely for me and it boils down to my personality: - I'm a lifelong introvert & homebody. All I care about is my home, my video games, internet, my books, nature, and I work remotely from home as a dev. - I don't care for infrastructure, subways, metros, malls, taxis... All I need is a motorcycle / vehicle. - I've lived in big cities like Toronto for most of my life, only circumstantially - but I loathe cities, and crowds, it has never felt like home, and crave a simple quiet life. - I cook my own food. 90% of the time, and as a vegan - India in general to me is a paradise for me. - I like taking life at my own pace, to me success is having time, time to live, time to enjoy, to take life at my own pace. Time is the most neglected currency. People spend 50+ of the best years of their life grinding, hustling, and not living. "Susegath" is my philosophy. My sister on the other hand is an extrovert, she loves crowds, places like dubai, flashing lights, metros, fancy restaurants, malls, entertainment like: a bowling alley / ice skating rink, having outings and not being at home... and she and people who get 'restless without stimulus / outings' would absolutely not be able to live in Goa. I don't even date women like this, because such differences in lifestyles are 'irreconcilable incompatibilities'. Goa is not for everyone, but it is for me.

GOA is a part of india But Goans people try to make it a different state, they just want us to come and spend money as a tourist but if you want to earn here for your family they will not let you do that.

The single most factor that impedes your settling down permanently in Goa is the notion of an "outsider". Do what you want, if you are not a Goan there is no acceptance of you. I have a Goan friend who has married a south Indian. She is a doctor but has never felt accepted in the community. The feeling of an "outsider" is extremely strong. Whereas ironically the Goans give themselves the right to settle down anywhere in and outside of India.
