Anime is generally bad and I'm convinced the japanese can't write real human interactions, but... I'll still kick Jello while he's down.

You know, never really noticed how bad all his takes were til that video. I think the only thing on his channel that I can't find a big problem with anymore is his lemonade ranking streams, his pokemon dogs in love trilogy, his perfect scooby doo team, and maybe his skys or arcadia stream. So to anyone wanting to let me know what was wrong with those, I welcome you with open arms because those are the only things keeping me from not unsubbing ever since learning about his history in the Anime community.

I think the problem with something like "So this is Basically" is that you need to have knowledge of the subject matter, and you need to be accurate in what you are saying. It was pretty clear he didn't know much about One Piece and honestly looks like he just went on Google and searched up "Everything bad with One Piece" and just took examples from random, various sources without confirming any of it. Some of the complaints like how "Your a Pirate if you own a boat" or "you can leave the Grand Line whenever you want" really show he didn't actual watch the show and it just comes off as making fun of the community, instead of being a genuine critique on the media.

Well i mean. At least he didnt so anything vile or unredeemable. From what ive seen he's just like a bit of a jerk and made a few bad videos. I think (and hope) thats all he did. Not saying he doesnt deserve the pushback but, it definitely could be worse. Also man i miss the epithet erased animations. Banzai blasters were peak..

I'm not even going to lie, if he stuck to a Racist Zoro angle instead of the Sexism stuff the jokes would have been better recieved by the fanbase because that's actually way more tongue and cheek as well as an actual criticism. (It boils down to how japanese has a shorthand to portray people as super strong as darker skinned).
