Trying something different. This is new channel called "A Conversation with Jordyn". The idea is to invite you into conversations that I would typically have off of camera. My goal is to discuss things like my creative process, how I conceptualize videos, etc. In this video, we react to a short film that I made that ended up transforming into something I didn't expect. A friend and I have a ver...
Your Videos Are Good. With Some strategic Editing. They have the potential to attract wider audience and generate more engagement/,.
Cool video that popped up in my recommended! Your little tangent about articulating your words and derailing on a new point is something I can relate to too lol
same
New here, found this on my feed and I like your channel ✨
You're right! :)
Love your Videos! subscribed 🙏
liked you video ! Very promising career in UA-cam !
😀 It's good to talk about thoughts from your brain into words and helps others to express their feelings than bottling it all up and into a crises. I tend to have overflowing thoughts which i do note it down on notepad to keep my creativity going with the flow. :)
Hey you mentioned Las Vegas! I attended UNLV for my undergraduate studies. Great thoughts. I enjoy hearing what is going on in your head.
Jordyn - the unproductive day - does not mean that the day was a wasted day. I plan my work for the day, and the amount of times my day is unproductive based on my goals, but from the point of view of others might be considered helpful, your not sitting in bed, your still being productive, just not focusing on the tasks when you wish to. Started today with five items, might finish two, it is approaching 7pm but still have helped people who were not on my list
Thanks for sharing and for the reminder that it's never too late to turn it around. This reminded me of a quote: "Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it" - Eckhart Tolle. I think sometimes I get stuck trying to fight being stuck, building levels of stuck-ness lol, instead of accepting that I'm stuck and trying to learn something from it. I think for me the key is to not only first accept being stuck, but second, like you said, to be grateful in those moments. And I think for me the most difficult thing in those moments, is to be grateful for even just the opportunity to learn or experience something. But also, I find it's in the most difficult things that I get the most rewards from
Jordyn, income $100 expenditure $99 😃 but expenditure $101 ☹️ - creatives or entrepreneurs take risks, risks either mean bigger loses or wins, otherwise you get a 9-5 job. So far my creative journey has been software, but then I had to be an accountant and join my brothers in business picking up rubbish - 10 years of earning very little money, then sold the business for a few million, that was nineteen years ago, still working in waste, but hopefully will have more time to focus on the more creative stuff soon.
Thanks, Jordyn. Your message resonated with me this week more than usual. I decided about a year ago the rebrand my UA-cam channel and in April of this year set out to grow my channel by creating a video each week. It's been difficult but I am seeing my channel grow. It's small and I can't say I truly want a huge channel. I'm sharing something that is important to me and the creative process brings satisfaction. I do client work and this channel is for me. Thanks for the weekly motivation and grounded perspective. I hope you have a really great day.
That is what I need to practice - being interrupted. I have to hone that skill. Thanks for that bit of enlightenment.
You are wise and compassionate beyond your years. Thank you for this podcast.
The part I loved the most you shared Jordyn is when you shared about "the part of ourselves that we feel is undesirable" makes me think of 1 Corinthians 12:22-26 where it says "the parts that seem to be weaker are indispensable." Love hearing how you share some thought secrets and open up about those places. Great job. I don't know how many times you've practiced doing that here or general but great work sharing those parts of some of the layers to that emotional part of yourself. Grateful to have a chance to sit and listen to you and get to know you a little better. 😊 One way that I've been being more challenged and moving towards growth is in my physical health, nutrition and fitness. Learning how to love God with all my strength (with my body). It's been very interesting seeing what all the beautiful things God has done in me since last year with all this. Love hearing and learning more about your heart and I look forward to more opportunities to don't that in this way here. 💪🏽 Ps I would be open to uploading the doing quick edits for you for 5 bucks a podcast. Keep it financially budget friendly haha.
I feel You had those thoughts because you expect perfection in your work. Nothing wrong with that.
The movement of the microphone and, later on, the reflection on the microphone screen is slightly distracting for me; but I generally listen rather than watch and it's not a big deal. It could just be worth considering at this stage having the microphone mounted.
I totally agree! There are 1000 things about this setup that I think are wrong haha. But I literally sit down and record these spontaneously for the moment. I'm pushing against my perfectionism in this podcast and will probably commit to a more professional/realistic setup later down the road. I appreciate the feedback!
@@aconversationwithjordyn26 Being something of a perfectionist myself, I felt kind of stupid making the comment. It felt unnecessary & unworthy to make it; but I also didn't want to leave the possibility of such an improvement unspoken now and affecting videos going forward. I don't want to ruin the sponaneous, natural style. It's a kind of art of life that has its simple beauty and freedom. However you do it, just do it! You're great and God is greater. You be you and leave the perfection to God!
@@mec1I appreciate you! I hear your heart behind wanting to help me do things better. That means a lot. Thanks for caring! Hope you have a wonderful day ☺️
Yeees Struthless is awesome! It's cool that you watch him too.
Yeah! I love how his brain works!
You are wise and insightful. I needed this. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Jordy, If you only impact one person with this...know it was me. I love you! ~ mom
A 30 MInutes Conversation,,, ill be there Let me give this a listen
This is 'The Coolest Things Conversation with Jordyn' and I'm listening! Anyone else...?
I love this!😁
So profound the idea of "easy" being thought of as "good". Life is complicated, but it is these intricacies that make our life richer, help us grow and develop as people, the whole concept of if you never failed you never tried and the idea of "good conflicts and stress". I look forward to more of these deep conversations on this channel. Also, as an aside, a similar channel dealing with deep, authentic conversations that you might be interested that I've been into is Big Talk :)
interesting
Such an earnest piece Jordyn. Thanks so much!
Great video. Love what you're doing. Looking forward to more of these.
Nice
Your second channel is so good, love deep conversations 💪 actually the same thing happened to me, when we filmed a dancing video with my friend. I asked her to tell something about dance for a voice over and it ended up being her testimony about Jesus and freedom. Here's the video, it's in Finnish though, English version is in the description 🙏 ua-cam.com/video/geI_LPUP6FI/v-deo.html Your video inspired me to share my faith through content as well🙏
Would love to see more of this, it was so insightful, Thank you for sharing
13:43 I struggle with trying to make sense of it all with just my own understanding, but I've been growing in that recently. P.S. That plaid outfit is fire.
Knowing God is so much better than knowing about God. It's a snare so easily stumbled into and often takes a lifetime to discover the difference. Thank you for your story
I like the idea of this new channel . It will let us see the real you behind the camera and your thoughts on different subjects ....... I feel that our faith is what gives us purpose and a goal to strive for. To be the best we can be and that has a different outcome for each of us. That's what makes us all unique . Just as you are .
Awesome video!! Loved how it turned out with the guy's life story! Really deep and thought provoking
"We live in a culture stuck on the surface. Most people don’t have time anymore to genuinely listen." I found this quote on your website and I could not agree more! So glad that this channel is a step against that.
Thank you (and your friends)! I cried. Would love to more like this! It's wonderful to listen to (and the soft music in the background makes it so relaxing)! PS. Your thoughts around that so much more in life than just sports should be viewed as hard and dis-comfortable, but still good, is a thought I will bring with me.
Can this be a podcast episode please,
Hi Jordyn, appreciate the openness, religion is alway an interesting discussion especially how people relate to it when their faith is tested.
We have the ability to choose. God gave us that gift, it is part of who we are and why we are having this earthly experience. We can choose God and Chist in our lives and when we do, it doesn't mean everything will be perfect. It means we are allowing God to place us in the refiners fire. Precious metals do not stay in the fire all of the time. It's a process. Thank you for the raw conversation. There isn't enough of that.
