Tye, Jeff and Mike are back on the gravel bar once again trying to extract a little bit more gold from a overworked area, but it is still giving up gold.

Nice
Thanks, Doug
Oh my God Tye. A bumpy exit 😆. Please forgive us. We're not the youngest anymore. But your buddies would have saved you ⚒👍🤠
Yes, if Jeff would’ve seen, he would’ve been laughing.
What a blast fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I go there alot
Me and Jeff went down there for about eight days. We actually hauled our Dredge’s down there. Our cabin didn’t open up until Monday and we were gonna be there till Friday. We got there Saturday afternoon and by the time we moved in to the cabin on Monday, the second Broad River was flooding. It rained the whole time we were there. The river flooded the whole time. It was down the day before we moved into the cabin and started coming down the day we were supposed to leave. I never have panned so much in my life. We work the penning station every day cause it rained every day and the river was flooding every day. We did pay for a couple loads going through the Trommel. And we went over and checked out Lucky strikes.
Good morning and good day to you Tye
Larry, how are you doing today sir? Isn’t this weather we’re having fantastic and I bet you you’re happier you’re not in southern Iowa I haven’t seen the weather but they were supposed to be dumped on.
I am good. Sitting at work. I'm glad you put me on to the wizards channel.
He’s pretty good he’ll teach you a lot of things if you pay attention
That just keeps giving up the gold
At that location back in the 1800s the river used to run perpendicular to the direction that it runs today. That gravel bar is like a ancient or at least very old river bed. Any time you can find a spot in any river or creek where the water runs one way today, but in the far past, it ran perpendicular and you have a gravel bar there nine times out of 10 it’s a place you’ll find your best gold in the river.
That place is really giving it up !
The invitation is always open to you if you’re ever in this area.
No smooth water head ?
Yeah, I’m sorry. I haven’t converted that over yet. It will be soon.
Hey, what happened to your equilibrium on the end of the video that seems all too familiar Ty😂😂😂😂 nice video next time walk where there’s no water😂😂😂😂
@@jeffsmidwestgoldadventures4593 🤣🤣🍻
Well, Jeff, we all take tumbles. And next time you fall down, you might be on video. It will be posted.
I love that gravel bar 😁
Yeah, it’s pretty awesome. Hopefully, this coming year will get a replenishing flood that comes through through there.
Can't wait to see
Love the gold in the blue pan 💙
I did too, Mandy
Holy smokes thats a great run 3 buckets
Yeah, I had a drive out of Iowa to find good gold like that. That was an Indiana trip this last September.
Like the sluice
It is awesome for low flow streams.
Loving the shorts 👊🏽👊🏽
They get kind of boring after a while. Every time I go out I’m doing the same stuff. Winter time for me and Jeff and Mike now cause he’s newly added to my group of prospectors is out searching for new locations. Because the same old gravel bar is boring,,it’s always the same thing. But that’s how we find our gold. The regular gravel bar we’ve been going to is burnt out. We’ve worked the gold line or ribbon of gold that runs through that gravel bar three years in a row we’ve worked both sides of that we’re finding new locations of gold But it’s a mishmash.
Nice, getting through some material fast
Yes it sure does, that gravel bars been there for a long time. It’s very hard packed and it’s really hard to shovel.
That is a really cool highbanker
Yes, Jeff likes to buy the newest items from the goldhog. He has deep pockets.
Great recovery!!
Yeah, it was a good day on the gravel bar
All your videos are popping up now 😊im happy
I’m trying to post a lot of shorts and regular videos on Sunday mornings. I’m trying to do a push up to 10,000 subscribers. I took almost a year off from youtube.
I like the view
Well, Mandy, I just get tired of the same old thing. Thought I’d try a different view. Thanks for the comment and the view.
Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year’s
Nice that gravel bar looks pretty good
It looks nice, but it’s getting harder and harder to find pay. We have absolutely pounded this gravel bar too much longer and you won’t be able to find a single speck of gold in it.
Nice long line !!!
Yeah, Jeff deserves everything that he gets. He works pretty hard for that amount of gold.
That gravel bar is just about used up. It’s getting harder and harder to find a pay area.
He works just about as hard as a brick layer.
The gravel bar looks delicious, Great fun and some gold 😊
It’s an awesome gravel bar, the bad thing about Iowa. We have a lot of lime in the water so much so that it covers all rocks and pretty soon all gravel bars look like they have white cobbles. This cobble bar or gravel bar whatever you wanna call it is absolutely hard to dig into. It’s like it’s hard packed. I wish I could get an excavator down on it just can’t do it. But you get down a little ways and then all the rocks below the service aren’t covered with lime, so you start pulling up Colorful stones quartz, granites and you know everything else. Me and Jeff are always pulling quarts and calcite chunks off the gravel bar and taking them home. Another thing that this gravel bar has is conglomerate pieces. I’ve never been down to the bedrock in this location, but I’m guessing bedrock has that Conglomerate look to it somewhere. I’ve been hitting this gravel bar hard since 2017. We still find gold on it but nothing like back when I first came to the gravel bar.
Love your videos Nice set up I wish I could get out and panning like this I can only do paydirt bags I can get from different sites and UA-camrs
I can see the day coming that I won’t be able to get down there either. Thanks for the comment. Where are you at? California? I jumped over on your channel. I’m not sure if that’s for your ad or not.
Happy new year
You too, Mr. Douglas
Hope you have better luck with your battery next time 😂😮😮nice gold
It’s OK, Mr. Jeff. It’s not like I’m finding enough money to retire.
@ you can say that again 😆😀😎
Im working on getting my little powered sluice running. Built it a few years ago and never tested it. Working on the water inlet box and flow. Sluice is 30x6 inches. Working with an 1100 gph bilge pump
I would probably look into one of those smooth water headers from flower gold wizard. That’s about the cheapest and fastest way.
Sorry. I made my little pack sluice 4 inches wide
Looking good indeed fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
I’m out getting it right now gold squad. Exploratory gold prospecting right now. New locations.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Gold squad.
Hi buddies, have a good start into the new year 🇩🇪⚒👍🤠
This coming week winter hits hard
I shake my head every time I see someone walking with a shovel to feed the high banker.
Well, everybody has their own way of doing things. Half of the day he shoveled into this high banker the other half he took buckets to it. Personally, I don’t like hauling buckets and won’t do it. I would also like to see your channel where you’re hauling buckets to a high banker. Do you have a UA-cam channel where your posting mining for gold?
Nice day to run
I tell you, they said it was only gonna hit 50 and there for a little bit. I had to take my hoodie off it felt like it was 60 today at my location
My toes are a bit chilly and it’s nice to be home under a blanket right now Douglas I feel like an old man. My back hurts only classified five buckets today.
That'll make you Dig, for sure 😀😆👍🇺🇸😎
Very hard to dig on that gravel bar you think there’s big rocks on the top. There’s big rocks on the bottom. I’d love to dig a deep pole and see what’s way down there one of these days.
Pan it, PAN IT! 😆😂🤣✨️⛏️💪🏻👍🏻 on da shiney!
Hey, it’s the prospectors aerobics
Can gold be found in all river beds or only certain types of rivers?
You kinda gotta have some reason for gold to be there in the first place. The state that I live in has been covered multiple times with glaciers that have come down from Canada. So the gold I’m finding is being leached out of the soil and is being released out of host rock. Whether that’s quartz maybe different granites and in any other rock that would have possible gold in it. Gold can be found all around the state that I live in. I’ve found it in all four corners of the state. Around here a lot of the rivers have been straightened that might be a good thing and that might be a bad thing. It really depends on what the rivers are cutting through. Is it cutting through till? Do you only have sand in the river Creek or is there cobbles if your river or creek is cutting through glacial till you’re cutting through rocks that have been brought down From glaciers, and you have cobbles and boulders sticking out of the bank and in the inside bends and slow areas of your waterway. I think if you have a river or creek with rounded rocks, you’re most likely gonna find gold if you’re searching for it. If you’re looking in a Creek or river that doesn’t have this well you still can find gold you might but it’s most likely gonna be small specs. Best way to figure that out is get permission. Go out to some place dig in the gravel test pan and find it.
Too many variables just to say yes or no
@@IAGoldProspectors I'm in Ohio. I've heard some folks in the south near Kentucky have had luck finding some small pieces.
I can give you some advice some things to look into. It’s winter time. Things are gonna be froze up. It’ll give you some time this winter to do some research. My first year looking around in Iowa I didn’t find a damn thing I figured there had to be something here, I just didn’t know where to go and what to look for. If you have a desktop that’s gonna really help you out if you don’t, I do all my research on my phone. You can also go to a library that would help you out also. You wanna look and try to find a map, that shows all glacial coverages over the state of Ohio. If you’re lucky, you might find a map program that you can pull up on the computer or on your phone that is usable with other satellite images of your state. What you’re looking for is glacial moraines or glacial till. You want to find these soil types on either side of rivers that you’re going to investigate. I do very well on small creeks that are in deep gorgeous. The sidewalks are fairly high. It gives me a lot of erosion for materials to be dropped down into the creek and be stratified. Very heavy when it makes it down into the creek or river it’s always gonna try to find the lowest part and it will work its way down through sand and mud to the bottom of the river or creek. I prefer finding creek bottoms or river bottoms made out of clay now you can also have what’s called flood gold. That is gold that just pretty much stays within the top 6 inches of gravel bars. It’s tiny gold and it really doesn’t work its way down through the material that is in that waterway when it floods it moves. What you need to do is you need to start studying the soil types around the waterways that you think you want to go hit. The biggest thing I can tell you is find glacial coverage maps. Unless there’s hard rock mining in this area is there gold mines that might be a completely different thing that you might need to talk to somebody else about because I have no knowledge of that. Actually, I don’t know how the weather is in southern Ohio. Maybe it’s warm there all year round or at least warmer than Iowa. I think you guys are a little bit further south. Your biggest thing is find a gravel bar with fist size cobbles go do some digging. Do you know how to pan Watch videos on UA-cam of people showing you how to pan every person that has a UA-cam channel about gold and gold prospecting and mining has a video out there on how to pan for gold. Once you get material in a pan and you get water over the top of the pan shake the living crap out of that pan. It just takes a second for any heavy items on the surface of that pan to drop all the way down to the bottom of the pan after stratification.
I bet if you look into it, you may find gold up around wherever you are in Ohio. I briefly in the past looked at Ohio. I think you have glacial moraines all over that state. You probably don’t have to travel all the way down south to find gold. a lot of us gold miners that aren’t on UA-cam are closed lipped. I have people on my channel asking me where I’m at where am I working? I’ve spent too much time to just tell you where to go in my state. I’ll tell you how to find gold, but I’m not gonna give up any of my locations too much time investigating Field research reading studying maps. Besides that’s really not what us miners do. Somewhere around close to where you live there’s a river or creek that maybe you have public access to if Warners flowing and you don’t have thick ice a gravel bar that has decent size rounded rocks and do test pan. You might be surprised on what you find.
Indiana ,i could tell not Califonia
I wish it was California, but I would’ve been arrested. Nobody’s been able to Dredge in California for 12+ years.
And do you know why?
What a Day 👀👌👍🇺🇸😎
Yeah, that was a nice haul. You remember Mr. Austin from the beach. He’s a hell of a miner, This was his gold for that day.
@IAGoldProspectors That'll keep you coming back for more, for sure 😆‼️👍
Yes, sir
Ahhhhh warmer days 🍻
Yeah, you can still find some nice pieces of gold over at that one place in Wisconsin. Trying to get up to 10K so I’m gonna be posting a lot of older video 2 shorts a day if I don’t get burnt out and one video on Sundays. If I can get out if I’m not snowed in and it’s not subzero I can’t drag Jeff out when it’s subzero anymore.
One lone beer staring up at you!!!😃🍻
Mr. Jeff always has a Coors On tap somewhere.
Great day for sure . Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy New year 🕛🎊 PPO out 😎
Hey thank you I hope you had a great Christmas. Get out and find some gold. May your pans be heavy this coming year.
any regulations there?
Yeah, you wanna stay off Federal and state land private property is a way to go. As far as official regulations on the books not in my area.
bro where is your location?
You know I’ve had a few people ask me that.
I’m in the Midwest of the United States
Where is your location?
Awesome pan! 👀😯✨️⛏️
Yeah, that’s what I thought
Looks like you’re holding dinner….
Talking about dinner and it was making me hungry. You getting up to the beach this weekend or is that froze over for the year?
@ i think its done for the year , probably 4 ft of snow to get through
Dang! Hey, have a Merry Christmas
@ 👍🏻🎄
You guys aren't messing around
You have to have a lineup of tools as a prospector/miner It’s nice to have something for every situation. We started out with nothing But now we can even Dredge a dry gravel bench.
Very well done
Thank you I’ll be back at it tomorrow
Man I can't wait to get back out there!
Same here
Ahhhhhhh
Very nice!
Thanks and thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
