1:40 Laguna Seca PB; K20A Civic EF
Best lap of the day in session 5, was struggling a lot with braking and entry speeds most of the day, especially in turn 3 for some reason. But oh well, first time back since 2019 and it was a blast. The goal was to go sub 40, which didn't quite happen but doing a 1:40 is still decent I guess. Think I was a bit conservative in T4, 8 & 9

Pretty scruffy lap, lost 3 tenths dropping a wheel at bus stop, then locked up and lost another 2 tenths at Sunset... 1:56's were definitely there again, just couldn't put it together. The car felt very understeer-y today compared to last month at Sonoma the rear end was so loose it wanted to kill me. Still placed 1st in HTAC Street Modified, 1 tenth off my own class lap record from Dec 22. 199...

Not the cleanest set of laps with some mistakes and traffic across my best laps of the day (consecutive 2:02.3, 2:02.2, 2:02.4) , but it's been fun learning how to drive RWD. Left a bit on the table & was overbraking in a few places as I was just laying down a couple banker laps on an injured axle to improve later in the day. First full event with the new K20 swap, had a lot of fun getting back into it after nearly 10 months and starting to learn the new setup; car feels good, nothing broke and I have many things noted to improve on the car. Most obvious one is the OEM jdm ecu has a speed limiter at 180kph so I had to lift and coast on some straights to stop it from killing the power, which made braking zones really...

Great pushing mate! Wish to drive around there with my EF, would be a great battle. Just a question: It looks like your car act's really nervous sometimes on straights / corners. Looks though sometimes! Sub 1:40 you can do for sure! Smooth is fast, but to smooth is slow! (Little thing I keep remembering from racing drivers) Robin (Civic EF B18C)
It's actually a lot better now and not so nervous feeling, it used to feel kinda weird for years. Last winter I checked some things and my Caster was off at 0.9° on one side and 1.9° the other; so I finally corrected that to 3.3° on both sides and this was my first time back out after correcting the alignment. But I did the alignment myself and the toe settings are not exactly perfect yet 😅

I have 500's with 12k front & 14k rear springs. They are getting old after several years of abuse but yeah they still ride curbs pretty well. It used to be a little better back when they were new also.

Yeah, they're not all ideal haha. They held the heat actually very well, didn't get much fade but the strength of the braking was pretty weak.
The exhaust, camera shake and watching the shifter bounce all over makes this video super intense! Nicely done!
