Yoo! I’m going to cut my stock springs on a GS300 01, I’m gonna do the same method that you did. Do you have any tips or advice?
Just be careful when you’re cutting and that you’re cutting straight so the blade doesn’t explode. And it’s always easier to cut less out more times then to cut too much lol.

Did you have to depressurize sls/ps systems at all before cutting the lines and removing everything?
I didn’t but my power steering pump had an extreme leak, it probably would be a good idea to let the pressure out though

@@gregsarcinello9127 honestly I’m not sure, I know there’s a plug on the side of steering box with a big + on it that you can loosen. Otherwise you could just pull one of the lines off the steering box
Ok cool. Last question. I’ve read it’s 3/16” hose but I can’t find power steering hose in that size anywhere. What type of hose did you buy?
@@gregsarcinello9127 I went to Napa and told them I needed high pressure 3/16 hose and they gave me transmission hose I believe, and I’ve had zero issues so far

I went to go buy a used expedition from a dealer said no problem with the car they do a 120 point inspection I crawled under it and the a frame on the passenger side was bent and rusted I took a picture and showed the dealer and said no thank-you and walked away.

You can use a 3M eraser wheel to remove the adhesive. It works awesome and won't damage paint or clearcoat

A blow dryer and some floss. As long as the maker only uses glue/3M tape to apply, some are clip in and you'll have to fill the holes.
if your trying to lower it a oxy torch with full weight on the car will take the bounce out of the spring and lower the vehicle a good inch or 2 without removing anything
Surprisingly the cut springs aren’t even that bad, I didn’t even think about using a torch 😂
@@turntpj not saying it was bad or anything i just remember my pops used to do it all the time instead of doing a leveling kits on his trucks, cut it torch it as long as it works thats what matters
