I'm not sure. Either you failed to transfer your save. Or, second option, you did with a japanese version, and I'm not sure whether it's working with the japanese version. I'm using the japanese version and I also don't have access to the boss rush. I may failed to transfer an mpo save though. Boss rush works in a US or European version for sure.

I'm not sure about the exact name. All that I can tell is that it comes from Yu-Gi-Oh ! Online 3 Duel Accelerator, and it's part of the bgm that only plays against Gen 1 characters (Yugi, Joey, Kaiba...) Hi, absolutely yes. That's what I am using. I got once games with a friend that also used PPSSPP. The best thing to do if you want your chances to play with me easily is to catch me when I'm streaming on Twitch. I can't answer to this question correctly. I cheated to get mine I think. You may get every uniques if you started the game with a mpo (original) gamesave file. (Not sure) You can get these unique soldiers from a gamesavefile that is available online. Check Banzai49's gamesavefile and try to clone for example Gene. There's a tech to clone soldiers. I think it's doable even alone thanks to emulation being a thing (pc to pc or pc to android)

I think the story narrator and the announcer (for everything else) are actually different people in the PAL version, while in the JP version it's the same guy. I suppose it was to make the prologues somewhat less scary for the western audience.

It seems to have a different dialogue. Pretty interesting, growing up with the PAL version. The narrator is the same yet sounds different.
