Letter from Chauncey Stillman to His Family, 1971
In 1971 Mr. Stillman put to paper his future vision for Wethersfield in this special letter shared by the family.
Wethersfield remains faithful to Mr. Stillman’s inspired vision. A 2023 Cultural Landscape Report on Wethersfield, conducted by Heritage Landscapes-with the generous support of The Garden Conservancy-assays that Wethersfield’s historic and cultural significance is that no other landscape in Dutchess County more defines the look and feel of this beautiful agrarian community.
The Foundation is proud to continue this legacy, but we cannot do it alone. The support of our community is crucial in preserving Wethersfield for future generations.
