that dome thingy on top is an aerial antenaa, kinda like a radar dish but instead of being directional like direct tv dish type the dome shape provides a 360 degree area to transmit to and from.

I have one from a few years back. I started to recollect Transformers but rather than replace what I had lost from my childhood. I started over by collecting these crossover figures. My first two were Ecto 1 and the Back to the Future figure. I was never sold on the the Jurassic Park models. I know there will be more. But for know I'm satisfied. They should come out with a Mad Max version or a Christine conversion that be dope AF! 💯 👍
