tbf, the combat opinion is divided. some like mrpokke like it and has potential, for gateoo (tof creator) he said the combat needs to be rework. but for me as viewers, i can't really feel what's wrong until i play it but i would say, they kinda need to make it smoother and make the dodge window a bit more "on time" rather than being too generous. maybe the other things is they kinda need to rework the effects

​@@prohanta9360 True I agree. The combat gameplay looks not so clean. It feels cheap and the camera work needs optimization. I realize that dodge thing too. They still have time to rework on things, but adding new mechanics in the combat system may take longer if they already have planned the release date.

@amirridzuannnnn camera is fine imo, it's nothing like wuwa camera bs. It just the efx could be better, I would say it feels the efx is like "solid item thrown" instead of actually efx (like with transparency/opacity/see through, glitter, volume, etc) like shadow looks like ink/liquid rather than shadow and "more frame" in combat movement. True, the combat concept actually fine but they kinda need to rework some here and there, adding each "weapon" actually has their own skill is actually unique. They need to give more satisfaction in combat even if the combat doesn't need to be hardcore

the fact that dodging is ping dependant is horrendous lol, you can look at the english content creators that are playing and see how delayed the perfect dodge becomes when you have high ping. If they're going to do anything with the combat, it'd probably be best to start with removing those kinds of ping reliance on basic combat mechanics. It also kind of seems like most characters have really short skill cooldowns which kind of makes character switching a little pointless? Not sure if the intro skills have any kind of buffs attached to them like WuWa does, but if it's just an attack, there's really nothing stopping you from just dpsing on one character the entire time if their cooldowns are going to be that short. I know combat isn't the main focus of the game (the main focus seems to be the GTA-like aspects of the game in terms of the game loop), but combat is something that brings people in, most gacha players aren't going to be satisfied with the cafe manager/apartment furnishing style gameplay if the combat isn't as fleshed out as the competition.

@@prohanta9360 Yeah, the attack effects feel kinda weak, barely any particles, and the whole thing just feels empty. They really need to step up the combat system because, honestly, good combat is what keeps a game alive. It’s what gets people hyped and talking, especially when a new character drops. Unless they’re advertising it as a casual game, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case.

i think the character design and combat needs to be a bit stronger, and hopefully there are things to do in the open world. but im glad to see this push towards visual storytelling, certain games sorely need this.
